Happy (belated) Holidays

Sorry for the lack of communication but there's been some serious progress!

First of all, we've started work on getting Cryb into a hosted service, available for free on cryb.app. How? Well, I'm happy to share the plan with you peeps first!

We're excited to announce be running our VMs from a decentralised system of Portal instances. Anyone in the world can create a Xen instance and link it up to our infrastructure—specifically Atlas.

At its core, Xen is a hypervisor for Portal (VM) instances. Xen will keep Portals up to date and will also connect to Atlas—our orchestrator for Xen. Atlas will allow Portal instances inside Xen to be used by users on cryb.app. Xen will be available as a one-click DigitalOcean app, allowing anyone to effortlessly deploy an instance. Better yet, we'll allow Cryb users who have linked their Xen instances to their account to have priority access to their instance.

This way we're not financially or legally liable for content shared in rooms as they're not going through our servers. We act as the middle man allowing users to enjoy content from a decentralised network of VMs. We're looking to have a hosted service using this infrastructure available on cryb.app in Q1 or Q2 of 2020.

We understand there may be some concerns regarding to the security of Xen instances, but we're working on a cryptographic method to verify Xen instances joining the Atlas network.

Work has already been started on Xen, Atlas, Mesa and an authentication microservice allowing this to be the scalable, affordable service to replace Rabb.it.
