Weekly Update 7.3.17

This is it! This is the week I finish the Friends at a Party comic! It’s gonna happen and I’m sooo excited! Once that’s done, I’ll get it posted (along with Girls in a Dungeon) over at DevArt and HF (Hopefully DevArt won’t pull it down for page 3). Excited to get to the next part of the story when Meg and Ellie actually meet. :)

I have a commission I’m going to be working on as well, but my priority will be the comic. Also, I need to finish the prototypes for all the convention swag (sketchbook, Black Label Comic, Buttons/Badges, Bookmarks, etc.) this week. Still working on some branding stuff, but I think I’ve got that under control. Everything has to be off to print by the end of the month. I’ll post some progress stuff as I get it together.

Once I’ve got those put together I’m going to be making some Patreon exclusives for you guys. Yes, actual, tangible merch that you guys helped create. This will be tiered, obviously, as some have given more than others. I’ll figure that out once things are made and I’ve done some math. Sometime round August/September.

In unrelated news, it’s my wife’s birthday this week! Yesterday we had some friends over for dinner after we did an Escape Room experience. If you’ve never done an escape room before or you have no idea what I’m talking about, do a Google search. It was awesome! It’s like playing a video game like Myst or The Room, only live action! We went to an escape room called “The Whispering Halls”. Basically, they locked us in a room that looked like the parlor of a haunted Victorian mansion. We had to search the room for a way out, finding clues, puzzles, and secret passages. We had one hour to escape. We were not successful, but some of the puzzles were pretty difficult. Also, there were a lot of us in there so it got a bit chaotic. It was a grand day out and a perfect birthday gift. I want to go for my birthday too!

Okay, time to get to work. Have a great week everyone!

Hope you and your wife have fun! ☺

Indeed. We worked together pretty well, but there were too many people in there (12). A group of five or six would have been ideal.

Gee, where would people get that impression? =P

I've heard about escape-the-room puzzles before. According to the video, the key skill was cooperation; it was better to have a team of average problem solvers that are well-coordinated than a team of ace problem solvers that couldn't work together. Either way, it sounds like a blast. Also, I hope your better half has a great birthday! :)

DM_5

I get that too.

Oooohhh...I hadn't actually thought about that...that could be intense.

That escape room sounds like a lot of fun, also sounds like something with some possibilities for BDSM and Roleplay...
