Update II

Hey ya'll. This one's not going to be a fun post to make so I'm gonna keep it short for my own sake. But frankly, I've been discovering a pattern in my writing. Each chapter now, it seems, or perhaps just these upcoming ones, there's been decisions I've had to make that will affect countless variables of the story down the line. Whether it's Alex's path of progression, or worldbuilding that is key to the central plot of System Reset.

The main reason I delayed last week's chapter is because I was unsure completely on my decisions. But not only have I not come to one that's satisfactory, but I've found myself faced with even more decisions this most recent chapter I'm writing that I don't feel entirely certain on either. I think my lack of planning and experience has largely caught up with me and has compounded with a no small amount of anxiety I've started to feel towards being late on my postings. Lately, even the simple act of being at my keyboard has brought me anxiety

As this is clearly unsustainable I've come to a solution.

For the forseeable future, I'm going to forego any pretense of schedule and post chapters when I please and without any expectation whatsoever. While I'm doing so, payments will be paused, Indefinitely, or up until I find resolve of some kind, at which point I'll be sure to let you know ahead of time so you don't have any unexpected billings.

I've also seen some complaints that my current schedule isn't what was advertised, and I'll admit it's definitely not. People on here have generally been very, perhaps almost too supportive with what they say, and I'd like to apologize that I took that for granted. I'll be offering a refund for any payments within the last thirty days, so if anyone feels that way, please send me a DM and I'll get that sorted.

As a final note, don't worry too much about me. This final schedule shift isn't me disappearing or ghosting yall like I'm sure too many authors have in the past. I have other obligations to this story and when it comes down to it, I simply want to write it. I'm just not ready to be paid for it yet, and would to prefer to write it at my own leisure for a time.
