When a teen male stopped growing (around 20, in most cases) he entered in that stage of life where they were too old to be apprentices, and too young to be considered full grown men (neaniskoi?). Grown male men were considered as such once they reached 30, the age when they usually got married (they married even younger at times, but unless necessity demanded like alliances or the need to have eirs asap, early 30s was the perfect age to get married)
