Changes to Patreon Tiers and Rewards

Effective immediately we will be ending the Monthly Sketch Tier and its associated rewards. All Patrons currently subscribed at that tier who have paid their last pledge on June 1st are still eligible for their final Monthly Sketch for the month of May -- OR a full refund of their last paid pledge, upon request.

We ask at this time that all Patrons currently subscribed at the Monthly Sketch Tier please end their subscriptions as soon as possible. All Patrons who do not do so by the end of the month will have their pledges refunded at such time, and no rewards associated with the Monthly Sketch Tier will be available. Reapplication to our Patreon at a lower level of support is NOT required -- though your continued support for our work would always be appreciated.

We will note here and now, for sake of clarity, that no one who ceases their Patreon subscription to us AND has completed at least one pledge will be asked or forced to leave our Private Discord server for that reason. Ongoing monthly support is NOT required for ongoing access to that platform.

We have come to this decision after much consideration. The reasons for ending the Monthly Sketch Tier are threefold:

Firstly, we have determined that we wish to be able to take on more proper and involved commissions now than what we felt comfortable with when we first created the Patreon. Related to this is that, as we have become more comfortable with our art process and made some changes in our life, we have begun to find the Monthly Sketches unsatisfactory and unrewarding on a personal and financial basis.

Secondly, we have become dissatisfied with an unexpected result of having what amounts to discounted commissions on our work being available only in a limited supply. We have found it has created an unfairly uneven ease of access to our work among our fans, customers, and supporters.

Finally, the ongoing presence of the Monthly Sketch Tier, in addition to the work it generates making it more difficult to open up for commissions for both ALL Patrons and non-Patrons alike with regularity, has also prevented us from doing more with our Patreon, art, and presence online in general.

For example, we would like to be able to consider offering our on-going Patreon supporters the ability to vote on more substantial monthly projects (full linework, fully colored and shaded, perhaps multi-part, etc.) that can be collectively crowdfunded through the Patreon. We have also considered the possibility of hosting raffles for various prizes for on-going Patreon supporters in the future. Above all else, we would absolutely love to be able to host live streams  that showcase our art process on our personal and professional work -- as well as streaming and hosting games and other activities. Ending the Monthly Sketch Tier will put us on better footing to do all of this and more..

We offer our most sincere thanks to all our Patrons, and especially to those who have been subscribed at the Monthly Sketch Tier, for their support up until now. The Patreon has proven to be a success in excess to anything we expected at the outset, and we have more hope than ever that we can DO more than ever now and in the future, as artists and entertainers.

We look forward to showing all our fans how far we have come, and finding out, with you all, how far we have yet to go!
