WIPwed: Ghastly Bespoke
Added 2023-03-08 23:26:51 +0000 UTCIn addition to all the rest of the things I'm currently nurturing in the fanosphere, I'm rereading the Skulduggery Pleasant books and falling back in love with my man Ghastly. Ghastly is a very popular literary boyfriend for this franchise. He's a sweet guy who's a little insecure but extremely capable and an expert in both violence in the form of punching and delicacy in the form tailoring. What drew me to him right away was how down to earth his dialog is. In the first book he's the one who is telling Stephanie that this is a dangerous life and working to protect her. This rubs her the wrong way at first, but while he's missing in book 2, she really misses him mostly because she sees how much Skulduggery misses him. Skul doesn't have a lot of personal attachments both by choice and by necessity, but Ghastly is his best friend and that really stirs my emotions. Skul will joke about a lot but when Ghastly's in trouble he's ready to pull his guns out and go.
