For ELP: I only know Take a Pebble and Lucky Man
For GG: I've only heard The Advent of Panurge & Knots
For Jethro Tull: I don't know any songs from this album
For Kansas: I think I only know Dust in the Wind
For Supertramp: I think I only know Take the Long Way Home.

Doug: You should listen to "Fanfare for the Common Man". There is a live performance, in winter, from Olympic Stadium Montreal 1977, which is tremendous!!! A real blast (from the past) as it were. This is the best version I have listened to and watched.

2023-01-24 09:32:43 +0000 UTCThe 1st time I heard fanfare for the common man was in 1976 in a documentary featuring Aaron Copeland. My father passed away that day. ELP does it justice I still have a tough time listening without crying my eyes out.

2023-01-18 23:07:09 +0000 UTCi dont _hate_ Passion Play , just that I prefer probably 6 or so albums more than it. Including Crest of a Knave. probably the weakest of the tull 70s albums IMHO, but I see why people like it.

"Goodbye Stranger", "The Logical Song", "Breakfast in America", and "Take the Long Way Home". Wikipedia concurs, although apparently the song "Breakfast in America" didn't make it especially far up the charts. In any case, this album really made it big.

2023-01-14 07:37:55 +0000 UTCDespite GG being recently covered in Behind The Score, I voted for Octopus. Gentle Giant is my top3 band, Octopus is my top3 album by them, so I couldn't resist. Actually, Gentle Giant never had a proper EPL (Free Hand was a daily episode on Youtube). Minstrel In The Gallery is in the leading position and I'm also happy about it. It's arguably my favorite JT album. It's their most eclectic one, but that's why it's so appealing and intriguing to me. ELP, Kansas, Supertramp – all great. Maybe for the next time ;)
