UPDATED MASTER LIST of pending repertoire (updated Nov. 1, 2024)

The Globalist by Muse was my submission and I would suggest it would be best suited for a Masterpiece Friday. It's over 10 minutes long and I would also recommend listening to Drones title track of the album from The Globalist comes. It's phenomenal acapella vocals are in the style of Thomas Tallis

Ruth James

I suggest you include Jon Anderson for his recent album β€œTrue”. The critics are unanimous that True is the album Yes fans has been waiting for the last 30+ years πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ˜ @doug

Nice list! I'm surprised you haven't even heard of Leon Russell. I've been a huge fan sine the 70's. Considered one of fathers of the "Tulsa Sound ". I can't even pick a song to recommend. 2 albums tho Carney or Leon Russell and the Shelter People. He was a very interesting person. Google him, in your spare time. Lol

Roxanne

Where's "DISCHORD?"

Statmanjeff

Thanks Brian!

R. Douglas Helvering

Frank Zappa: "G Spot Tornado" was listened to in one of the Doug on Demand sessions. The video with orchestra and dancers

BRIAN MILLER

For Peter Gabriel, I very strongly recommend doing Rhythm of the Heat. My absolute favorite of everything he's done, and there's a tribal drumming section that is just amazing.

Limekiller

Thanks! I submitted it a second time and it went through.

Ford H. Cotton III

I can't help you on that - I don't have visibility of your submission - but I'm anticipating a syntax error on the submission. I'm sure one of the lovely admin guys will respond to you.

Adie

Ok, so I just submitted it, and within a few seconds, it got reformatted and disappeared. What happened?

Ford H. Cotton III

Loving some of the additions, but one minor detail- VdGG's "The Sleepwalkers" is on side 2 of "Godbluff". Both are on the list- Sleepwalkers could probably be excerpted for TDD. Don't know how I missed this before.

Tom (the soggy one)

You go to the #recommend-submit channel in Discord, and follow the instructions to submit to get on the list. Doug reviews periodically, and if he accepts the recommendation it goes on the list. If he doesn't put it on the list, it might not be a complete rejection (my recommendation for ELO went on this time but not on the review following my submission). It can be simply that there is too much on the list already. You don't have to resubmit, if Doug is interested in the recommendation he will keep a log. Once he has reviewed, the decks are cleared in the #recommend-submit channel. You will see there are no current recommendations there currently. PS anyone can support a recommendation once you have made it, which can help Doug see which suggestions have a weight of popularity behind them.

I got one approved back in early September, it was called The World Breathes With Me from Caligula’s Horse! I could find the ticket number if that helps

Christopher Sanguino

Yay hay! ELO No Answer (debut album) is on the list. Thanks Doug!

Adie

How does a song or album get on this list?

Ford H. Cotton III

Thanks Doug, alittle disappointed that Leon Russell didn’t make it, oh well The other thing with Queen, Face it Alone and Mother love should be done together
