2024-11-08 22:49:06 +0000 UTCIf you and lovely Meg ever make it over here to Yorkshire, Gilly and I would love to shout you a few (well, a LOT of...) wee drams of single malts or whatever else takes your fancy (we have some brilliant real ale here!) and show you around. I do feel you are already an honorary Brit (just look at how much of the music you have looked at is British!) and you and Meg seem to think and talk and opine just like we Brits do. But more eloquently, and with far more musical knowledge, than most of us do and have! As we'd say here in God's Own County...get thissens o'er here reet soon! ps. I suspect most of your many, many friends over here are as horrified about this week's events as you are. Sadly, I forecast and expected this outcome. So few Americans seem to have a clue about the world outside America, or indeed about the reality of socio-economics within America. But I think most of us will also accept that decisions by the American people must be respected nevertheless. After all, our own electorate have taken some pretty crazy decisions too. This is democracy; for better or (probably) for worse. Chins up, guys; the sun always rises again.
