Why George Washington Is Still My Favorite President

So why didn't I make this epic George Washington documentary sooner? I didn't have the time, but also I was a bit afraid to make it, to be honest. I was afraid it might be too difficult to tackle. I know this may sound weird, since there are sooo many books and videos about him, but that is precisely the problem. I worried about not having anything new to say about his life that was substantial, and I also worried about making this as balanced as possible. I also had to address the slavery part of his legacy, while somehow still arguing that he is my favorite President and still the greatest. The puppet helped, but still this was a difficult one to make. I also ended up reading more books in preparation for this one than I ever have for a video.

Anyway, hopefully it turned out alright. Subscribe to the Felt Show if you haven't already!

Yeah LBJ is probably in the middle of the pack for me. Great picks, though.

Lincoln’s my fav personally. Not perfect or anything, but S tier in my mind. Same with FDR. Other ones I rlly like r Teddy, LBJ (controversially), Kennedy, Eisenhower, Cleveland

Probably not necessary but I'm rather cautious with language. That's why I posted it with, "If correct." I don't pretend to know the answer when evidence is less than sufficient. Still it seems to be a candidate answer. Lots of things we will never get to know. Will leave it there. Cheers.

He could absolutely read. Probably wasn't the strongest reader though.

Mr. Beat

wait "read military books?" does this mean he could read?

When I was at Mount Vernon, they posited that some of his teeth may have come from his slaves or other slaves, but the evidence wasn't that solid so I didn't want to speculate. A good thing to bring up. Thanks as always!

Mr. Beat

Want to respectfully push back a bit... Do we have reasonable confirmation with evidence that Washington got his replacement teeth from his own slaves? If correct, just imagine the grotesque logistics of that transaction. Despite that, there is no question Washington was a major pivotal figure in early American history. All historical and contemporary figures are subject to criticism... Always genuinely look forward to seeing new posts. Keep it up man.

I appreciate that buddy. Out of curiosity, who is your favorite President?

Mr. Beat

Great to get such a detailed video explaining why he’s your favourite President. I disagree personally but I enjoy hearing others’ opinions and why. Great video!
