I called every U.S. Senator in the country. Here were the responses I got.
Added 2022-05-12 15:15:42 +0000 UTCI will add that I talked to multiple Congressional staffers "off the record" after I did these livestreams. Unfortunately I can't share what they told me. What I can say is that I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED in the current way we petition the federal government. We'll see if I have more success getting responses back from U.S. Representatives.

I have to admit I'm impressed by that kind of determination! This follow-up video was great! So cool that you heard back from Sen. Booker! Keep up the wonderful work! I'm surprised you don't get demotivated after that and such little response. I'm surprised that you plan to do all the congressmen next. Looking forward to hearing the results. Good job Matt! π

I have contacted Senator Schumer like 6 times over the years and i've gotten a response every time one of them being phone call. It's really cool that Sen. Booker actually made a video response I honestly wouldn't have expected that at all. I also would have a hard time with being friendly to McConnell or in fact several senators at this point.

Perhaps it was because you werenβt a constituent to some of the senators π€. Regardless, itβs pretty bad that the Kansas senators didnβt reply to you.

Canβt say I was shocked by the lack of responses or just being confined to speaking to staffers. I get that they are busy, but I think most of them are either afraid of looking bad or donβt care to speak to someone with opposing views. I think weekly, biweekly, hell, Iβll even take just monthly town halls should be mandated for every congressional person in every congressional district they represent. Wishful thinking, I know. I am glad you got a response from senator Booker and senator Merkley! Also, kudos for being professional and respectful towards, I wish there was more of that in society.
