Supreme Court Briefs - No, the Police Don't Always Have to Help You

In episode 67 of Supreme Court Briefs, a mother's three children are murdered after the local police don't enforce a restraining order.

This was a tough and unfortunate case.

What do you think? Did the Court get it right?

Thank you for your continued support!

Yeah the podcast More Perfect covered it a few years back. That's how I discovered it

Mr. Beat

Heard this story before. As soon as I saw the case name I knew it was gonna be incredibly sad.

Michael Madden

Yeah I understand their rationale, but indeed still gut wrenching.

Mr. Beat

Truly horrible and gut wrenching. I think that it is a failure of the court and the government. I would have sided with the poor lady if I was on the Supreme Court.

Ray Humphreys

Well put 👏

Mr. Beat

That poor woman. How incredibly heartbreaking! Why even have a restraining order if law enforcement can pick and choose when to enforce it. This is why people lose trust in our institutions.

Naterade

Truly heartbreaking.

Michael Burt

It just breaks my heart that she went through all that only to lose the case.

Mr. Beat

This was disturbing as hell.
