I do believe the August poll regarding the next Those Who Wait au broke an all-time record in terms of how many voters got involved. I'm so excited about that!
Lavender Haze and Guilty as Sin were less than 5% away from each other - so I'm apologizing deeply to my wife, who really wanted Death By A Thousand Cuts as the next story, and giving you the choice for the next bracket.
As a refresher:
Lavender Haze -
(completely alternate universe - Sutton and Charlotte never met on sapphicspark)
Sutton Spencer is in the midst of a brutal divorce from Layla, is a professor at NYU, and the primary parent to an adorably precocious 2 year old daughter, Lucy. Trying to figure out the status quo in her life, she moves into her new home - a beautiful brownstone... with newly elected Senator Charlotte Thompson as her neighbor.

Charlotte is a closeted senator who has never fallen in love or had her heart broken
Sutton being thrilled that this senator is willing to be a guest speaker in her classes

Sutton Spencer has finally finished her graduate degree, and - for the first time in her adult life - is out of school. She thinks that her next step is going to be getting her PhD, but... she's going to put that off for a year, take a little bit of time off. Unfortunately, that means she needs to find a job in the meantime.
Fortunately, freshly minted congresswoman Charlotte Thompson is looking for an assistant.

😍😍…it’s so rare in adulthood to have that childhood Christmas Morning level of excitement for things…but the feels are real and I’m enjoying the feels while waiting for it to begin!!

The idea of Sutton being the one to help Charlotte out of the closet is - almost - enough to get me to vote for Guilty as Sin, but the idea of single-mom Sutton and Charlotte being next door neighbors, and Charlotte helpfully speaking at Sutton's classes ... well, it's just got to be Lavender Haze.
