2025-04-24 13:21:09 +0000 UTCIn my martial arts days my training days consisted of peanut butter and jam on toast, quick energy release from the jam slow release from the peanut butter, thought of haggis grossed me out til I tried it it was delicious. Not a fan of black pudding though. Meatloaf is nice, Your biscuits are our scones made for jam and cream not this devil sauce you call gravy.

2025-04-24 00:05:25 +0000 UTCThat’s probably because they’re really not good for you 😂 When we’re feeling like real fattys we’ll get a box occasionally. But even we don’t eat them often. They are very convenient. But ooof are they trash for your body.

2025-04-24 00:01:54 +0000 UTCHow dare you describe root beer in such a way. Haha. It’s one of the few sodas I actually “like”. Hm I’m not sure if that’s true either. I think Dr Pepper is supposed to have like 47 different ingredients in it or something.

2025-04-24 00:01:09 +0000 UTCAh waffles fries. Very different from actual waffles. Waffles are really similar to pancakes, just shaped differently, probably to hold more syrup. Or maybe just to look more fun 🤷🏼♀️

2025-04-23 23:59:41 +0000 UTCYeah sounds just like biscuits and gravy. Though if the gravy is bad, that makes a big difference. You gotta have good gravy. I like mine best with an over easy egg between my biscuit and gravy, and to drizzle hot sauce over top. It’s a sloppy mess, but a very good one. Yeah you can find Cubano sandwiches in a lot of places throughout Florida. They are very good.

2025-04-23 23:58:40 +0000 UTCHere an Elvis sandwich is peanut butter and banana, or peanut butter, banana and bacon. I do think the jams are different. They’re sweet here too. But I got some pastries while over that way somewhere and they were jelly filled and I could not eat them. They were too much. I had to squeeze all the jam out of the middle and eat around them. You’ll have to come over for my mom’s meatloaf. She makes it the best and will ruin all other meatloaf for you, like she did me. Like I said, I’ve got her meatloaf tattooed on my leg 😂 Ah you’ve not had haggis?! You gotta give it a try. Just don’t think about what it is.

2025-04-23 23:55:05 +0000 UTCYeah that doesn’t sound good at all. We’ve got bit city fairs here that deep fry everything. Bananas, Oreos, snickers bars, pickles, you name it. Never had any though

2025-04-23 23:04:28 +0000 UTCMy dad did me a peanut butter and jam sandwich when I was a kid, he called it an Elvis sandwhich. It was OK but I preferred either just peanut butter or just jam, but maybe the jam here is different to the jelly there? Its very sweet here. Strawberry jam for me it was. Quasadilla is very popular over here, as is Mexican food in general, imagine that also pulls over into other cultures. Meatloaf I dont think i've ever has but i'm not grossed out by it, i'd like to give it a go.... more than I can say for Haggis, braver than me Taylor!

2025-04-23 23:03:55 +0000 UTCI had biscuits and gravy in Florida, I don't know how good they were compared to other places. But I'd describe them as a mix of a scone and a buttery, and the gravy was white with bits of sausage through it. It was fine but I've never craved it again. I know these are popular in Tampa and Miami and they differ with ingredients slightly, but are cubano sandwiches popular all over Florida? There's one place that makes them here but it's not the same. Those I do miss.

2025-04-23 22:48:34 +0000 UTCIn my head, waffles are made from potato and are basically just a fancy shaped chips/fries. Always have to remind myself of the 'sweet' version!

2025-04-23 22:48:07 +0000 UTCI can't get along with root beer, tastes like drinking the spit bucket in a dentist. I did hear once that Dr Pepper is essentially root beer mixed with cola, not sure if that's true but I do like Dr Pepper.

2025-04-23 22:44:35 +0000 UTCThe weirdest thing i ever ate was woodchip wallpaper from the ceiling. Put it in a bowl with milk as cereal. Needless to say there was hallucinogens involved...
