As you know, the first three adverts star David Prowse, who most famously played Darth Vader in the original Star Wars Trilogy. While the first advert features his actual voice, which has a thick West Country accent to it, in the next two adverts his voice has been dubbed by a voice actor with a more standard English accent. Ironically this most famously happened in Star Wars, where his voice was dubbed over by James Earl Jones. The poor guy clearly didn't have the right accent for TV and movies. Another David Prowse story relating to his Green Cross Code adverts. At the time the adverts were made, he was hired to do a tour of schools around the UK to promote road safety to kids. Unfortunately every school he went to, the kids just kept asking him questions about being in Star Wars, so the entire tour was a failure.

2025-06-15 21:11:51 +0000 UTCYeah that’s why we weren’t sure if we should say who put this together or not… there are going to be people complaining about those things you mentioned ( m because someone always has to complain about something) and we didn’t want them complaining to you when you’ve put all the time and effort into this. There’s a billion and we would become an advert channel if we tried to cover every single one of them. I was desensitised when I'd put these together so it didnt feel as bad as the others at the time but it was certainly rough watching it with some time between the others. 1000% there will be comments that i've missed the best ones, or that only 1 was from New Zealand. All fodder for more compilations I suppose. Thanks for doing this guys. Btw, if you'd like me to have a pop at superimposing the video for number 2 that was missed over the top, I dont mind
