Kingdom Hearts II - Re:Fined [Panacea BETA | Built on 10.04.25 | v5.00]

Welcome all Patrons, to the second BETA build of the Panacea DLL!

This build is for KINGDOM HEARTS II, for all platforms and versions. NOT Compatible with Japanese builds of the game.

Changelogs:

• Implemented Autosave [Slot 99, toggleable through the config menu.]

• Implemented Soft-Resetting [Smooth, L2+R2 to trigger.]

• Implemented the ability to Retry, as well as to Prepare and Retry.

• Implemented Shortcuttable Drive Forms.

• Implemented Discord RPC.

• When holding down X/O (Depending on your settings) when on the "Attack" command, Sora will now auto-attack.

• Implemented Prologue Skip [Better than ever!]

• Implemented fixes for the save point to make it act like it does on the PS2.

• Implemented the Encounter Plus ability, obtained through Moogle LV5.

• Implemented Ultrawide Support (21:9 and 32:9).

• Disabled culling of objects and effects.

• Implemented 4:3 Support.

• Sora will now show a crown on his HUD Image as well as the 3D Model.

• Sora/Roxas will now promptly die when their HP is set to 0.

• Magic will now instantly register when you obtain them, instead of needing a room transition.

• Movement will now instantly update when you receive an upgrade, instead of needing to pause and unpause.

• Cutscenes will now adhere to the frame limit, instead of always being 30.

• You can now enforce Controller Prompts & Camera on MKB [Through the config menu.]

• You can now warp straight to Garden of Assemblage from the World Map after you unlock it.

• Summons will no longer break the background music.

• Save ID checks have been removed. You can use any save from any platform, any version, any person!

• Sephiroth can now be refought after beaten as an Absent Silhouette.

• Some SFX Fixes have been made, such as Xigbar's shots and Sephiroth's RC.

• You now have the option to use the Quadratum style command menu!

• Garden of Assemblage has been edited to include a save point and a Moogle!

• Added the ability to show certain prompts at will.

• Fixed all known issues besides the ones listed below from the last BETA.

Known Issues:

• The Moogle in Garden of Assemblage currently crashes the game when interacted with due to some unimplemented filesystems.

• EGS versions of the game will ask for the Keyboard Layout to be set and invalidate all MARE settings on launch with the mod on. Do not worry, the save files are NOT affected.

How to Install:

- In OpenKH, install "KH2-MAIN.zip"

- Build and Run

- ???

- Profit!

NOTE: This BETA build assumes you have an install of the game in which Re:Fined has NOT been used before. Please restore your EXE to the factory original if you have installed Re:Fined before. (In case of not having that anymore, you can verify your game files to do so.)
