Pausing my Patreon

Long time no speak Patreons! Apologies for that, I hope you're enjoying my content still and I would like you to know I do really appreciate your support. Over the last 6-12 months I've not been happy with my offerings to you guys, Patreon was something I set up when I first went fulltime as a way to diversify my income and connect more with you lovely people, especially during the pandemic. However recently I've been extremely hands off and that's something I'm not too happy with.

After some thinking I've decided to move away from the platform, I wanted to let you all know ahead of time. I will keep my Patreon active if you'd rather support here but with newer alternatives that allow me to offer more, I feel like it's the right time to change. Truthfully I've not offered you lot nearly enough for the support you give and I'm sorry for that.

I appreciate that might come as a shock to some of you however I will be launching YouTube memberships in the near future. YouTube memberships have been improving in what they can offer for sometime and whilst the risk is there not diversifying my revenue streams and relying on one platform more, given where I'm currently at it just makes sense to do. Making it easier for viewers to support without having to leave the platform they watch my content on, offering channel members emotes, badges and more direct perks is a huge plus too.

As part of this change I will be moving the Patreon roles to a single legacy role on the discord server. I plan to make it so that anyone in that Patreon group will be able to access a new channel made for YouTube memberships once that's up and running potentially as soon as this week *tbc
