Chapter 6: The Investigation For Joss

“How did that go?” Sebastian, the butler, immediately asked Cynthia as soon as she stepped out of their HQ. 

“Not good, Sebastian… Not good…” She admitted to him, not exactly possessing anywhere near the energy to explain to him any more than this. Well, that was okay since Sebastian didn’t need to hear much more to understand that she was not doing well, at all. Sebastian knew and understood a lot about what was going on simply by looking at her.

“I don’t know, but I don’t like seeing you like that… Is there anything I can do?” Being a butler, Sebastian was a hardworking man and whatever had happened between her, Gerald, and Trix, he didn’t care, he still wished to make it right. Cynthia was overwhelmed by this sudden feeling of support that he had for her. 

It made her blush. 

She didn’t know what to think.

“I mean… Joss is a dangerous threat… Everyone knows that, but that Trix ass-hole doesn’t me to take care of it… Well, officially as a member of the organization, but nothing is stopping me from going rogue as a private investigator like I used to before, right?” 

“No, ma’am,” Sebastian smiled at her. 

“Um… If we are going to do this, we should probably go right now…”

“We are not waiting for the other ladies, ma’am?” Sebastian referred to Nene and Slice.

“They’re not coming…” The blue-haired detective told him the truth, since her partners didn’t come down the stairs with her, and they stayed in the locker room of the HQ. 

They were not coming…

Sebastian chauffeured Cynthia exactly where she wished to go and where she needed to go if she hoped to go after Joss. The butler brought her to where they defeated Protea (again) and where Joss was last seen.

Cynthia investigated the abandoned house once more and there was no trace of him. 

The detective stopped at the same window that she looked through last night, and she gazed outside in the same way as before.

The only difference was that it was daytime instead of nighttime. 

Through the window—Joss was not there, but she was still going to find him.     

Sooner or later… 

Cynthia stepped outside the house and slowly went the same way that Joss had gone by last night when he escaped. The detective took her time and observed this cold alley, desperately searching for something—a clue that could indicate to her why Joss was there last night and where he could be now…

On the ground, she saw his slimy footsteps…

His footsteps led Cynthia to another kind of trace from him…

On a brick wall, she discovered Joss’s handprints with claw marks, indicating to her that he took this turn in the alley.

This path specifically led to the bay.

This is where I’m going to find him…

The bay was one of the filthiest parts of Ecstasy City. 

No women should come here on their own unless they wished to be jumped on and to be fucked. 

It had been forever since the last time Cynthia had come for an investigation, and for any other reason for that matter.

Today, she came all this way where with Sebastian.

She wasn’t on her own, she was with that handsome butler. 

Together, they investigated the several docks where a lot of old boats were.

There were a lot of homeless people living in this area, and as far as the blue-haired detective was aware, Joss, was certainly a homeless creature, so this was no surprise that his traces led them here. 

She was confident that they were on the right track…

However, even after hours of thorough searching, they still couldn’t locate him at the bay arena…     

Time flew by, and it was already about to be nighttime, unfortunately…

“Ma’am, we should probably head back—either to the HQ or the mansion—it’s about to go dark…” Sebastian was the one who pointed this out to her.

“Sebastian, I’m a PI, I work best during the night,” she reminded him.

“That’s right, ma’am, but this sector of the city isn’t the safest place at night.”

“Oh, but I have you with me, right?”

This was supposed to mean that there was no danger thanks to him being here, but the reality was that there were a lot of reasons to think that Cynthia was just as strong as him and even more for that matter. 

The two of them didn’t speak much during the search and the investigation, and soon another hour passed, and they still had not found any trace of Joss…

Perhaps this was all useless and that Trix was right all along… Perhaps there was no purpose in searching for him in the first place… I feel so dumb right now… I should not have done any of this…. Cynthia’s shoulders dropped—she regretted everything she had done thus far as part of this standalone investigation…

They searched for so long in the darkness of the Bay Area of the city that soon, it started raining…

“You have to be kidding me?” Cynthia said to herself as soon as she felt the rain falling from the sky and hitting her voluptuous body.

They weren’t even close to the car, either, so no matter what they’d have to run for it if they wished to escape the rain.

“We should seek cover. Come this way,” the butler brought her into a seemingly abandoned warehouse. 

He took her by the hand before busting through an old door.

The next moment, they were inside this warehouse, and Sebastian closed the door behind them.

They were now away from the rain, and they could breathe away, but that didn’t stop them from being completely wet since so much rain had fallen out of the sky so fast. 

“I’m so wet…” Cynthia murmured.

“I can see that…

Because of that, all her sexy and kinky parts were showing and Sebastian could see all of it.      

“What are you looking at?”

“Nothing…” 

It was her thick nipples that were showing through her clothes…
