Today, I wanted to show you a little preview as to what to expect for the beginning of this second installment in the Holy Crusaders series.

Prologue
Barely two weeks after his first-ever defeat, the rogue dark elf, Nostromox, had to learn to live with the considerable consequences of his loss.
The truth was that he was not at the top of the food chain. He simply was not.
There were several other persons above him, and his recent defeat did not go unnoticed.
As soon as he turned back to the shadows, he began being treated like a prisoner instead of the hero of the cult that he had been regarded as for so long…
This was quite a big change for him and everything horrible that happened to him could be attributed to one single person…
… In his eyes, that person was…
… Victoria.
Always Victoria…
She was the only one he could think about ever since his painful defeat. He couldn’t remember hating anyone more than her at that moment.
That paladin had ruined his life.
Nostromox was in the middle of being dragged into the longest and darkest dungeon corridor he had ever been pulled into in his entire life…
It felt never-ending…
It felt like his own purgatory…
However, once Nostromox arrived at the end of the corridor where the only light in this sombre lair resided, the dark elf was transported to a room that was known as…
… The audition chamber.
He had heard about this place before. Only the ones who failed this hidden society were brought here to respond to their crimes against the cult.
Nostromox’s crime was that he failed to succeed in the most important mission of his entire life.
In the audition chamber, Nostromox was forced to kneel.
Above him, waited three dark figures.
All of them were standing in line, waiting to judge him for his crucial failure.
All three of those dark and imposing figures had horns on each side of their heads.
“Leave us…” A voice was heard. The voice was dominant and commanding. That voice was without a doubt one of the horned figures at the center of the group.
Right after giving his order, the two guards who brought the rogue dark elf here left.
These two guards were orcs, and colossal ones at that, as well.
They abandoned him, leaving him for the three shadowy and horned figures to take care of him.
Nostromox gave the silent council one long look before smirking and lowering his head back down in uncontrollable submission.
“You guys don’t have to give me the silent treatment, you know?”
“FOOL!” One of the members of the dark council silenced Nostromox.
“...”
“We placed our trust in you, and you failed us, brother Nostromox,” another member of the council declared to him.
“I know…” He even went as far as admitting this to himself. He knew what he did. Furthermore, he took full responsibility for it.
…
“Most important of all, you failed Minos—you failed The Hand Of Minos. You were supposed to succeed and bring him to this world,” then, it was the third member of the council who spoke. That third member was the one at the center of the trio.
“...” Nostromox didn’t speak up again at that time, he knew better.
“You failed, all that thanks to a rookie paladin!” The same member of the council who just spoke to him mentioned Victoria for the first time.
Then, as soon as he did so, her image was suddenly summoned!
It was Victoria Augustine!
