Harvesting The Witch Queen - Chapter 297: December Unfreezes The Coven

Almost there!

This is almost Christmas!

Chapter 297: December Unfreezes The Coven

As promised, December fulfilled her end of the bargain and released the members of the coven.

She agreed to do it as promised and she unfreezed the icicles. September, April, and June were finally freed. Their ice prison was finally cracked open like a vault and Jack’s friends were returned to him.

“You did it, come here!” April came rushing at him with her arms wide open, hugging him and kissing him as she was reunited with him.

“Nice to see you again, April.”

“Hey, dude, I knew you could do it!” This time, it was June Summer who came to him and voiced her happiness to see him again. While she did not hug him, she did give him a little light punch on his shoulder as a sign of affection. It was all in good fun that she did so.

Then… September finally came this way…

“September,” he uttered her name with his chin up.

“I knew I could count on you…” This was all she said to him when she met with him. She barely smiled as they were reunited.

Is she serious? I saved her ass and she has nothing else to say? Jack didn’t like this one bit.

“That’s all you have to say?” He confronted and questioned her.

“What would you like me to say?” September raised an eyebrow and questioned him, as well in return.

“We are going to have to talk me and you and it’s going to be a serious conversation.”

“That sounds boring to me. Why can’t we talk right now? Why you can’t tell me everything you have to tell me in front of everyone?” Sexy September was provocative and ruthless as she always was and she defied him to spill everything and to tell her what he had to tell her. She didn’t seem to have time to have any form of serious conversation in private and this was something that Jack could agree with—they didn’t have much time on their hands.

“Fair enough. Then, we can talk in front of everybody else,” Jack took a step forward, becoming even closer and more intimate with her. “What else are you hiding from me? First, it was my real name. You knew what it was, right? So, what I’m asking you is—what else are you hiding from me?” The Autumn spectre confronted her this time since she insisted that this was what they did, so he confronted her like he was, unfortunately, obliged to.

“I do not know what you’re talking about…” This was all that the witch gave him as some sort of answer.

Before Jack could say anything else to her, the two of them were suddenly interrupted by a loud and disastrous cacophony of noise that was heard right outside the frozen castle!

What could that be?

It sounded like there was some kind of attack or war assault on her castle! It sounded like someone was shooting bombs right at the castle with the sole purpose of destroying it and rendering it into dust.

“What is going on?” April shouted, wondering what was the meaning of this just as much as Jack was.

“The castle is being attacked! It has to be it!” June prepared for the worst.

“I’m not sure yet…” Jack hoped to take a peek outside and to see for himself first before personally making any declaration…

Meanwhile, December didn’t say anything and she didn’t seem to be too alarmed by this chaotic cacophony that was heard right outside.

Jack was the first one who was able to rush to the nearest window. It was important to mention that they were not in a regular room of the castle. This place was one of the ramparts of the castle and this was why there were so many windows near them. Jack went straight to the nearest window and finally obtained a first glance at what was going on outside—out the window, he shockingly didn’t see much. Outside, all he could see was an abominable amount of snow falling from the glacial white sky!

This didn’t help him understand what was getting on too much. He had no idea that this horrible noise they heard was only attributed to this growing and evolving snowstorm outside. Jack might have been born in the Autumn province and yes, they didn’t have a lot of snow over there, but it did snow once in and while over there, but snowstorms never made noises like this.

What is going on outside? Jack suspected that there was something else happening out there and the best way to make sure that he found out what was going on was for him to go out there and investigate himself.

“I’m going out!” This was all the Autumn knight with the red, black, yellow, and orange armour said as he suddenly spun around with braveness and confidence in his steps.

“You’re going out now? After we heard that strange noise outside?” April questioned him, probably hoping he didn’t go look outside himself.

“I am.”

“You shouldn’t…” December voiced her opinion right away.

“Why not?” Jack asked her, unsure why this was the case.

“You don’t know what’s out there…” The Ice Queen let him know.

“Well, things would have been a lot simpler if you told us what is out there,” June was dying to know. She was a pure fighter and if there was danger out there, she better know about it, so she could fight off that impending danger. June went toe-to-toe with December, confronting her.

“It wouldn’t any of us any good for me to discuss this matter with you…” The Ice Queen visibly had no respect for her and no one in the room, especially Jack appreciated the one she took with June. The fighter’s words were true. They needed to know what they were up against to prepare for what it was.

“Don’t talk to her that way. She didn’t do anything to you,” Jack confronted December this time, perfectly fine with dealing with her.

“None of you is ready for what’s out there…” December announced, believing every, single word she said.

“Then, let me go out there and see for myself…” Jack had made up his mind.
