See? The cliffhangers aren't always on Fridays!

I'm kind of sad that our flashbacks are always in brown tones, because I'd really like to see that street parade in color. The "Heterodyne's" antlers are on fire, for one thing. Phil says he wants to do a tourism poster, so I'm looking forward to that.

Someday when there isn't a plague and I have lots of money I would love to travel around Europe and see the various monster-y festivals. Next life, maybe.

Also, the Professoressa really should lay off whatever's in that skull goblet. Just sayin'.

I did wind up "translating" the Jäger dialect again tonight, so I've edited it in below!

PANEL ONE

Professoressa: What? Really? A huge, debauched party, and the Heterodynes traditionally just...went to bed? That won't make a good paper at all!

Oggie: Oh, ho! No fear!

PANEL TWO

Oggie: They had their fun, oh yes! The would usually show up again the next day looking pleased as punch!

Professoressa: Oh? Tell me about this "fun." I should be writing this down...

Oggie: Well, you've got to understand, the old Heterodynes, they were always crazy guys, you know?

PANEL THREE

Professoressa: Well, no one would dispute that--the Heterodyne Boys really were a big change after all the others, weren't they?

Oggie: Heh. They sure were!

PANEL FOUR

Oggie: And they weren't the type to hang around drinking with us Jägers, either. When they took over, that is when it all started to turn into fakey stuff for the tourists. A mummer on stilts playing the part of the "Heterodyne" and a bunch of local kids in masks and bear skins running around as "Jägers."

PANEL FIVE

Oggie: –and later, the old Baron, he was a good sport–threw a big party for the boys on Castle Wulfenbach every year. But it could never be the same as it used to be back home in Mechanicsburg.

PANEL SIX

Oggie: Ha! But this year, we are all here, and we have a new Heterodyne--whew! We are going to have a proper old-fashioned Jägerstomp tonight, just like the old days!

Oggie: You see, the old Heterodynes, they–

(POUNDING ON DOOR)

Oggie: Oh! More guests?
