Added 2021-02-15 06:54:19 +0000 UTCWell, that took a while, didn't it? I've tried to make a nice catch-up piece to go with it, just to get everyone back into the story. I am glad to have that Solstice story done, but I'm also glad to finally see Kjarl Thotep here in the flesh.
Also, Phil changed the spelling of his name, so I've retroactively been spelling it wrong. He wanted it to be ever so slightly weird. Like me, I guess, since I have a similar "j" in the middle of my name. It's sort of a "y" sound, rather than a soft "g".
Sorry it took so long, I really wanted to get that "story so far" thing done. I hope everyone had a nice Valentine's day. Phil brought me a plant, which the cat immediately tried to eat.

In other news, we are in the middle of a rare Seattle snowstorm, which is lots of fun, except that the day it started our furnace died. Everything I know to try has failed, and I don't want to risk blowing up the house by doing more than I already have. The repair guy can make it out on Thursday. Probably. So we've got all the windows curtained up and blankets hung over the doors to keep the heat from the computers in a smaller space. Keeping stew and similar dishes cooking low and slow in the oven also helps a bit. Overall we're surviving nicely, but still:
