I was thinking the same thing! Each of those things must be as loud as a gas powered trimmer. I can only assume it would sound like a swarm of very large angry bees , hardly the set up that makes for a good sneak.

Reading this in the RSS feed this morning, my immediate thought was how *loud* all those helicopters that close together would be. How could they even hear each other talk? This is what happens when the owner of nitpicking.com reads your comic.

I wouldn't worry about that hat too much - the Jaegers will be lining up to defeat YOU for it long before you can push any buttons. Then it's their problem, and that I will watch with popcorn.

I think you fail to understand Mad Science. It's not that safety precautions are for sissies. Rather, 1. They're fundamentally inconceivable. 2. They don't work any better than the rest of technology, which basically means they are as dangerous as anything else. 3. They're extra cost for no actual benefit. 4. We got better things to do than worry about safety precautions. I mean, look at this new hat I got! Isn't it amazing? I'll admit, I didn't actually defeat anyone to get it. The hat did that to its former wearer entirely on its own. He pushed this button here, and just like that, he had no feet! Isn't that awesome?

It's probably more relevant how many bears came on this expedition, regardless of whether they were brought by Krosp, by another bear, or came on their own. Sure, bears are good at following directions, but what do you do if you don't remember to give them directions? There's a lot of bears, did Krosp really order them all? I mean, really? He's a cat.

In reality these would clip to a frigging *harness*, which people working on an airship should be wearing anyway, so help me OSHA. Of course, safety harnesses are pretty uncool so there's that.

Just like the one Zola used to escape from the Castle! It'll be sad if Team Agatha can't capture the Lantern and have to destroy it instead. Also I hope someone's thought about how they're going to /leave/ the island when this is all over.
