Added 2021-07-22 07:23:30 +0000 UTCI spent all of today installing a fancy Japanese toilet seat that does everything but sing to me. That's ok, I'll sing to it instead, I love it that much.
There were challenges, but I only had to make one trip to the hardware store, where the guy told me that the coupler I was hoping to find didn't exist, and I should just watch a couple of YouTube videos and take the tank off the way the toilet installation guide said to. "Toilets aren't that complicated, you'll be fine." he said. He also said I must be doing ok so far because I wasn't soaking wet and growling "Don't Ask." I guess they get a lot of that?
He was right, by the way. I could now install an entire TOTO brand toilet by myself. Thanks, YouTube and the guy at the hardware store! I shall spend the rest of the evening hopping around shouting "It's-a-ME!"
It's a good thing there isn't much of the evening left, isn't there?
