Girl Genius Comic for Monday, November 08, 2021

Well, Steve Jackson's Girl Genius RPG Kickstarter is doing very well, and has less than two days to go before it's all over!

As you see, we are back to the main story, and about time, too. I'm working on a "Story so far" page to put in front of this one, but it isn't done yet. I lettered this page while trying to work out what the ssf needs to say, and then I thought "well, they might as well see it early!"

I've also included the raw drawing that Phil has done for a Volume One bookplate. We find ourselves needing to reprint a few of the earlier volumes (hooray?) so we might add those as stretch goals to our next Kickstarter. The next Kickstarter will probably launch in January, although that is a very ambitious goal. As I've mentioned before, It's going to be flat paper things only, with a separate campaign for "things that aren't flat and paper" happening later in the year. That'll let us get the books out asap and give us time to more fully prep the pins and things. With that in mind, we're thinking about things that ARE flat and paper to add to the campaign.

I feel a little bad talking about the next campaign while I'm still packing the last one, but it does need to be done, and getting the work done well ahead of time will mean less delay on the other end. I want to get all the ducks in the best rows possible before I launch anything. Shipping is chugging along, so that's good. I got a whole lot more done today.

Edit: Oh, and I did notice that the voice font for the two little clanks needs to be shifted from comicrazy to spookytooth on the previous page. Oops! I'll get that sorted out before it goes to press.
