The Kickstarter campaign is finally over! Which means I can stop bugging people about it for at least a while, until I get the BackerKit store open. Sorry about that.
Things went very well this time. I'm especially happy that it looks like I won't be the one doing all the fulfillment. I'll do a few things, like the original art tubes and probably the full sets, but the bulk of it I'm farming out. More on that when things are finalized.
Thanks to all of you who backed, helped spread the word, and kept up my spirits!
Here are the pages for Wednesday and Friday, because they both happen to be ready in time. I love Friday's page very much.
Reading: I'm in the middle of a huge Patricia McKillip binge, currently finishing up with Harpist in the Wind. I've been collecting used copies and reading my way through her list, and now I hear she's just died, which makes me sad. Her picture looks so familiar, like she's someone I've seen around a lot. It makes me wonder, did I meet her at a con sometime in the last 30 years or so, and not remember because I hadn't yet read her work? I think sometimes I sleepwalk through cons out of sheer anxiety. I do meet a lot of amazing people at cons, and I should pay more attention.
Anyway, I'm enjoying her work so much. It's beautiful. I wish I'd read it sooner.
I've also put my hand to collecting the old Ray Bradbury books that were among my comfort reads back in primary school. I had the ones from the library out a lot, but never had my own. I can't describe how much I love the flow of his words.
And now, I'm going to go find some food! See you again when I've got colors for Friday!
