Ooookay, I'm embarrassed about this story because I just told you about Ratty, who is buried WAY BACK in the back garden, and now when I tell you the latest tale of stupid adventure it's going to sound like we're filthy people awash in a sea of rats, but I swear we're not, we just live in the city with a lot of green around, so there are rats outside. There just are.
ANYWAY: Although we've never had rats or mice in the house, something has apparently found its way into the the basement walls and died. I can't find the body. That's why I've been tearing up drywall and floorboards. And ceiling. The basement office smells horrific. I've now given up trying to find the body because I'm supposed to be posting things on the Internet and taking care of crowdfunding stuff, not ripping up my house. Also I've ripped up as much as I can reasonably destroy. There's just a point where it has to stop, or the rain will get in.
The Internet tells me that this problem should sort itself out in a week or two. In the meantime, the smell of the wax melts the kid who lurks downstairs has been using to cover the smell is wafting upstairs and giving me a scent headache. I'm not going to make him stop, because I really do sympathize, but it's nearly as bad as the deathstank.
So yes, my life is currently icky, and my adventures are stupid and seem to involve a lot of dead probably-rats. Well, at least, it's weird that it's happened twice.
God, I hope it's not a raccoon or opossum.
I'll try to think of something less horrible to tell you about next time!
