Okay--
I agree about the punctuation on the previous page, so thank you!
In other adventures in the digital arts, I've been happily using the type 1 font Comicrazy from Comicraft for the last 20 odd years. I love the fonts from Comicraft. But now, Adobe Illustrator has stopped supporting type 1 fonts. SO! I have upgraded to the new version of Comicrazy, which is an open type font and has many advantages over the old version.
BUT GUESS WHAT THE DISADVANTAGE IS?
YES! When I open any of the several hundred pages of the comic in Illustrator, I now need to replace the missing font. Ok, fine, I replace it with the new version of Comicrazy, but that often bumps the words around a bit in the balloon and requires small inconsequential adjustments.
Inconsequential until I'm working with hundreds of pages. Whee!
Also this happened right after I did all the work of remastering volumes 1, 2 and 5, so now I get to tweak all those pages again. WHAT FUN!
Fortunately I'm doing a new from-the-beginning upload to DeviantArt five days a week, so I can so some work on those pages in small batches as I go. But still. Ugh.
In other news, we now have a wet fir tree in our living room. It smells wonderful. When it is dry we'll adjust it so it isn't leaning oddly and put shiny things all over it. IT WILL BE JOLLY.
Oh, and Avatar continues to be a fun watch. The animators did a bang up job and the faces the characters make are amazing!
That's all until I have colors, I hope you're all enjoying your weekend!
