Attibute Panel: Evolution from an Artic Wolf

10 - The wolf eyes that look into the distance

This lynx's meat tasted different and was not something Luke liked to eat like the meat of the arctic rabbit, but the points he was awarded for continuing on his evolutionary path was very good.

This lynx was a little thin due to malnutrition, but still weighed at least forty kilograms which was a good amount of food that could not be wasted.

Luke of course can't finish the whole lynx by himself, after eating a little more, he didn't want to eat any more because it would be a waste.

Swallowing this lynx meat gave him almost twenty evolutionary points. A very good amount, which made him very happy.

The arctic reindeer meat had become very tough due to leaving it deep in the cave all night. The cubs could not eat it at all.

The wolf girl tried her best to chew on the carcass of the Arctic reindeer for a long time, but she couldn't eat anything.

Some of the cubs were glassy-eyed, and the wolf girl howled in aggravation.

When Luke saw this scene, he had no choice but to get up. After approaching the arctic reindeer, he bit off a few less frozen pieces of the carcass and tossed it to his sister and the other pups.

After all, his wolf sister was now the closest thing he could consider family, so he couldn't just watch her suffer and starve. Her feelings were peculiar, little by little she had grown fond of the pack and her loved ones.

When the meat got to her paws, Luke's sister happily ate the meat thrown by her brother.

This made the drooling little lone wolf very envious. But Luke was not insensitive, after throwing enough meat to his sister he started with the others.

They all seemed very grateful, but Luke paid no attention to these tokens of appreciation.

At this point, after Luke plucked enough meat for everyone, he went to inspect the outside of the cave.

Just outside, he could see that the snowstorm outside was a little smaller, but still the cold was piercing.

"[...Severe cold, Esper energy value was affected!

Severe weather doubles your energy consumption and decreases your Esper energy value, pay attention to your attribute panel...]"

The basic attribute panel appeared in front of his eyes and this made Luke return to the cave after doing a little run around, there was nothing to do with such bad weather. The prey hid in their burrows or shelters, so it was useless to try to find something.

After returning, the small, energetic lone wolf also bounced towards the cave entrance when it felt the bitter cold.

"Auuu!"

But just as he was howling, the gray wolf dragged him by the tail into the cave.

Unwilling to admit defeat, the little lone wolf began to repeatedly struggle against the cold wind at the cave entrance without caring that someone was dragging him by the tail.

Luke looked at him as if this little lone wolf was a freak, and then looked at the gray wolf who was trying to drag his fighting partner into the cave. Without a word, he wearily entered the cave.

After all, wolf cubs always have a place to vent their energy. But this was dangerous, so he stayed near the entrance to protect those restless children.

Then, after watching the wolf girl serve as guards, he looked for a stone and also took a defensive position. Last time he took care of an owl, and now his sister was playing with the feathers of that arctic owl.

To be honest, living as a wolf now, without the colorful life of humans, was making Luke's days very boring, long days so full of necessary activities and when you have the food, there is nothing to do.

Those chores he considered torture in his life as a human, he is actually starting to think it wasn't that big of a deal.

...

This winter storm was not moderate, it was a strong winter storm that lasted several days. So, four days passed in an instant.

During these four days, the winter storm continued for a long time and did not stop until today.

Now, Luke was enough to finish the lynx all by himself.

Eating this lynx has given him more than 20 evolutionary points in the last few days.

Surprisingly, carnivores bring much more evolutionary points than herbivores.

But even until the end, the lynx meat was still able to get a value of 0.2 evolutionary points.

And on top of that, the Arctic reindeer meat was also almost finished eating.

Especially the small lone wolf, these days his meals increased and he ate a lot, which was equivalent to the appetite of an adult Arctic wolf.

But even Luke has to say that the little lone wolf grows extremely fast.

If it weren't for his basic attribute panel, you'd think things were a bit of a mystery.

Even his size was matching that of the girl wolf.

Also, Luke didn't know if it was because the food was enough, but he discovered that the little lone wolf had some other changes these days.

The gray fur on the wolf's body became darker.

The originally thin limbs also became thicker, especially the claws, which could be hidden in the thick fur like a cat, but these come out whenever they are used.

In addition, the Esper Energy, stamina, physical strength and attack power of the small lone wolf are also far superior to those of wolves of the same size.

The wolf girl even now cannot defeat it so easily.

At this point, Luke looked at the lone wolf's basic stats again.

[...Species: Arctic wolf (awakened beast).

Level: Level 2.

Esper Energy: 235.

Endurance: 27

Strength: 28

Defense: 25

Speed: 23...]

The basic attributes of the lone wolf had been greatly improved these past few days.

And on the side of the spice, there is a strange note that made Luke very surprised.

"Huh? Awakened beast?"

Luke looked at the small lone wolf, his crimson wolf eyes glowed with curiosity.

Earlier, he also checked the little lone wolf's attributes. But he was sure enough to know that there was no such note before.

He could only relate this due to the fact that in the past few days he had eaten enough food that this lone wolf had developed its own potential. As a human, he had never heard anything like a stronger than normal beast before, and he can only think that it is because no beast had ever left his domain.

In this whole world most things were mysterious to him, even his own basic attribute panel kept giving him surprises and he learned new things every day.

"Auuuu!"

At this moment, the little lone wolf saw Luke walking towards him and quickly howled obediently moving to the side.

Luke is now the boss of the cave, after all he had fed everyone during these days. If not, they very possibly would have had very bad days.

Even if the wolf father and the others returned, Luke would still leave a big mark on their wolf hearts.

And that was also because when the wolves behaved in a way that wasn't right, Luke would teach them to be loving to the pack.

Even if the wolf father and the others returned, Luke would still leave a big mark on their wolf hearts.

In packs of any kind of wolves, the strong ones are respected.

Luke is very strong, but even if he often teaches the little lone wolf a lesson, this little wolf searches for him to see how strong he has become.

Of course, the most important reason is that Luke had made sure everyone ate enough to feel full.

"Auuu!"

The little lone wolf howled low and even licked the fur on Luke's legs.

But when he looked back up at Luke, Luke was still staring at him.

Quickly the little lone wolf raised his belly to express the utmost intimacy and adulation.

When wolves turned their bellies, it was tantamount to the absolute trust and intimacy that was held for certain wolves.

As is known, the bellies of animals are the most vulnerable places and not usually shown so openly.

So, upon seeing the flattering behavior of the little lone wolf, Luke simply let out a low howl, stretched out his paw and patted this little future subordinate on the head again.

Although the little lone wolf developed his potential, he evolved into a different species that Luke had not seen before or discovered.

But his personality has not changed.

In addition, the little lone wolf with different strengths could help him in the future.

So he decided to fully accept the little lone wolf as his subordinate and would make sure that he would not lack food until he grew big enough to hunt for himself.

On Luke's howl signal, the little lone wolf turned around.

Then the little wolf rolled on the ground, showing Luke that he was very smart.

This behavior let Luke know that this fellow had completely integrated with the others, and his solitary behavior had at least disappeared with the cubs in the cave.

In addition, by the way, he also decided to give the little lone wolf a new code name to identify him above the others.

The little lone wolf was originally a gray-haired Arctic wolf, but now he was dark gray all over.

So he gave him the code name Baxter.

Of course, only Luke knew this code name. Of course, it's not like he could communicate as he really wanted to with the pack.

For now there was nothing that could establish more direct communication, but with the attribute panel Luke did not lose hope.

Now, after accepting the small lone wolf as his subordinate, Luke walked towards the entrance and jumped onto a stone not far from the entrance.

At this point his coat had already been cleaned of the blood, his wounds had completely healed and his beautiful white fur, which glistened in the sunlight that had not been seen for days,

Today's Luke is about the size of an adult Arctic wolf.

And in terms of strength, he is far superior to ordinary Arctic wolves. Therefore, even if it was strange, he had this attribute panel to thank.

After climbing that stone he looked into the distance, the surroundings were quiet after this storm of nine.

Even Luke could sense that the storm had stopped. At this point, if his parents were okay, they should be back soon.

Just as Luke's thoughts flew in his imagination, there was a group of wolves in a well-distributed formation, with many prey in their mouths, walking slowly from a long distance away.

"Auuu!"

Looking at the figures in this group, Luke couldn't help but let out a long howl.

Immediately after, the wolves howled one after another in the distance!

"Auuu!"

"Auuu!"

The loud and prolonged howl of the wolves echoed over the Arctic void. Presently, the pack had returned to the cave.

Unbeknownst to Luke, there was a long, deep sense of relief in his consciousness. With each passing day, his human feelings faded and that affection was transferred to his pack.
