20 - Potions

Time passes very quickly and it has now been half a month since Luke hunted the female Musk Ox.

"Well, I guess it's not that bad..." Luke's body lay motionless on a rock, staring at the ceiling of the cave while his tongue lay out beside him.  

During this half month, the hours of daylight on the Arctic continent had become less and less. 

In the area where Luke and his herd are located, the sun can only be seen for four or five hours a day, and the rest of the time it is dark. 

The demanding conditions of this climate caused the pack to store a lot of food in the cave. Although wolves usually eat their prey completely as soon as it is hunted, it was not a good idea to do so in this type of weather because it was unknown when they would hunt again. 

While places closer to the North Pole had been completely affected by the Polar night phenomenon, places farther away had much shorter days and longer nights. 

Luke who had thought that winter had come to an end was completely wrong with that kind of thinking. So he simply continued to gather experience for when he decided to go alone to get to know this huge unexplored white world. 　　 

But in the meantime, Luke was affected by the natural phenomenon that is unique to Antarctica and the Arctic. 
　　
Throughout this period of time, the wolf pack, led by his parents, went out hunting in groups of four to five wolves, but each time the food they brought back was very unsatisfactory. 

The only good hunting Luke noticed was when the pack brought in a different species of Zalophus japonicus, better known as the sea lion, but this species was very young. 

However, as was more than evident this animal only weighed between 40 to 50 kilograms and this food could not fill the stomachs of everyone in the pack. 

So, at the end of the day everyone had to eat from the Musk Ox which had only been eaten by Luke and a few cubs from the herd. 

After all, the female Musk Ox that Luke brought into the cave weighed between four to five hundred kilograms of tasty food. This was difficult even if Luke and the cubs ate every day, so in the end they all ate from it. 　　 

And Luke, being smart, didn't decide to leave the herd right away. After all, with the weather and the little experience he had it would be difficult for him to find a place to make his shelter from. Therefore, in these days he was doing a lot of research. 
　　
After the first outing together with his partner Baxter, Luke concentrated on finding a cave with a high level of security so that it would not be found by humans and predators. In addition, the cave has to be very safe and large where the wolves can be in unique places. 

Luke was in search of the ideal cave, one where there were many interesting things that ordinary wolves would not be interested in but he was. 

In addition, during this period of time, he also ate about fifty to sixty kilograms of meat from the female Musk Ox for points and also because the quality of that meat made it a truly delicious meal. 

As for his overall evolution points they were greatly reduced after eating fifty to seventy kilograms of cadet, and from the beginning until now the value had dropped to a minimum amount of 0.10. 

This to Luke's mind took away his interest in continuing to eat the same thing, so he just filled his stomach until he decided to hunt something different. 

But this was not the same for Baxter, who seemed to eat more and more. 　　
　　
All of this helped Baxter grow much faster, but Luke didn't mind as it would benefit him greatly in the future. 

While Baxter filled his stomach with food every day, Luke kept thinking about what he should do in the future.
　　
He was alone with Baxter who had reached level 3.... 

Level 3 Baxter was now twice as big as the wolf girl who took care of the pups when the pack went out hunting, and reached the size of a normal adult wolf. 　　

Baxter's strength was slightly stronger than an ordinary level 4 arctic wolf.

At this level, Baxter can now help Luke with many things and keep up with him when he goes out exploring. 　　 

During this time, he also learned about the potions that his evolution panel granted him as a reward in his last battle with the female Musk Ox.

Luke only got three of these valuable potions and knew right away that they were very valuable potions for your future evolution. If he gets to use them correctly, he can level up three levels in his three uses. 

And for those who are still thinking about their real value, if Luke hunts a prey that he has not consumed, his value that he would have originally obtained would be increased 3 times more.　
　　 
But this wasn't the best part, the effect would last for three days making this potion an incredibly valuable one for his evolutionary path. Luke figured he could use them once he gathered the valuable food, which he would do in the future. 

As for the other potion he obtained called "enhancer potion", it goes without saying that its main factor is to develop the body's hidden potential. 

So knowing the good effects, Luke took five of these potions since their value was only to develop his power. 　 

Upon ingesting the first potions, Luke felt a very noticeable change. His wolf fur became softer, his bones stronger and his muscles increased in size. 
　　
His internal organs also received great benefits, and this Luke discovered as he could feel better breathing and strength in his lungs. 

The blood supply in his heart also became stronger as his adrenaline lasted longer in combat. His stamina also increased, so even if his score was not greatly affected, Luke knew he had become much stronger. 
　　
However, as more potions were used, the effect became smaller and smaller. So after using five potential medicines, there was almost no improvement effect that he noticed. 

These potions truly were something incredible that opened Luke's mind to many other possibilities. He remembers as a young man, when he was human he played a game where you had to watch out for basic stats and he also remembers that there were potions. 

These potions were useful to the players as they healed their health, strengthened their character with some of the characteristics they were exposed to. So now Luke took into account many of his ideas as a not so active player to know how valuable certain potions could become for him and his survival. 

He only hoped that in the future he would be able to obtain different potions, after all wolves do not have a hospital to attend. And if he suddenly received a fatal wound, even if his healing factor was great, he would surely die because the limit would have been exceeded. 

Therefore, Luke silently waited for his chance. He had many ideas that he wanted to implement in the future, and if successful they would make his life as a wolf much easier and more comfortable. 

For during that time there was also something that bothered him and that was the size of his body, he was incredibly large and possibly one of the largest living wolves there is in the world. 

Humans are very curious, if suddenly someone saw that there was a huge arctic wolf in this kind of place they would be interested in hunting it. 

That's why Luke was looking for a cave that was good enough and hidden enough that humans couldn't easily access it. And in the future, to have the largest wolf pack in the world so that he could control the entire Arctic. 

There was in turn an extreme curiosity in Luke that it would be to discover the curiosities of the arctic. He had heard many things when he was human, theories and interesting stories that everyone told. 

No man's land and everyone's world, every country that was a power had a piece of control over this place. But even now, Luke doesn't know if he is in a part of Russia or indeed is on the Antarctic continent. 

He hadn't traveled much, and if he talked about history right now he would be completely overwhelmed that he didn't know about the more than a hundred countries in the world. 

But that was the least of his worries, right now he wants to be strong and create his own pack to rule over these cold and unexplored lands.
