Attibute Panel: Evolution from an Artic Wolf

39 - The most powerful pack of wolves

The wind howled across the barren expanse of the Arctic tundra. Snow blew in vicious spirals, whipping the landscape and stinging any exposed skin. But amidst this desolate and icy wasteland, a fierce battle was about to unfold.

Two male wolves stalked through the snow, their keen senses alert for any prey that might cross their paths. This pair of wolves were formidable creatures, one with a thick gray fur and piercing yellow eyes that glowed like embers in the darkness, and the other with dark fur and crazed brown eyes. Both moved in ideal postures for stealth, their massive paws sinking silently into the snow as they fixed on their target.

But in the distance, there was a wolf twice as large with crimson eyes gleaming in the darkness of a tree hundreds of meters away, watching the performance of those two wolves.

Suddenly, the gray-furred wolf sensed a scent on the wind. It was the unmistakable scent of a lynx, a fierce and cunning predator that roamed the Arctic tundra. The ears of the gray-furred wolf stood up, and it bared its sharp white teeth in anticipation.

They had encountered lynxes before and knew they were formidable enemies. But the wolf was a proud and fearless creature, and they were not afraid to face any challenge that came their way as long as the pack leader was nearby.

And when both wolves looked at each other, they had silently made a decision. The duo of wolves started to follow the scent, their powerful legs propelling them through the thick snow and the cold place. As they got closer, they could hear the soft crunch of steps on the snow indicating that their prey, the lynx, was near.

The larger wolf ran, its muscles rippling under its thick fur as it charged towards its prey. But the lynx was fast, and as soon as it saw the wolf, it ran away, its long legs carrying it through the snow at an incredible speed.

But the gray wolf also started running towards its target, not giving it a chance to flee.

The dark-furred wolf chased it, its powerful jaws snapping at the lynx's heels. But the lynx was too fast and ran and weaved through the snow, always keeping out of its reach.

As they ran, the three creatures circled each other, each waiting for the other to make a move. The wolf was a fierce predator, but the lynx was no slouch either. It was a thin and muscular creature, with sharp claws and teeth that could tear flesh and bones.

Suddenly, the lynx sprang into action and leaped onto the wolf at an incredible speed. But the dark-furred wolf was ready, and sidestepped, its jaws biting the lynx's neck.

The lynx writhed in the air, its claws scratching the wolf's face. The gray wolf growled and shook its head, trying to shake off the lynx's attack. But the lynx was tenacious, and clung to the wolf's fur, its claws digging deep into the thick gray fur.

For a moment, the two animals locked in a deadly embrace, each struggling to gain the upper hand. But the wolf was stronger, and with a sudden surge of power, broke free from the lynx's claws.

After that, the gray wolf decided to join the battle and attacked the lynx's back with its powerful jaws.

The lynx fell backwards and landed heavily in the snow. But it was not yet defeated. With a fierce growl, it leaped to its feet and charged at the nearest wolf again.

But the gray wolf was not to be outdone, and soon the three animals collided in a flurry of teeth and claws, each trying to overpower the other. But the wolf duo was too powerful, and with a final snap of their jaws, dealt the fatal blow.

The lynx let out one last pitiful cry and then was no more. The wolf duo stood over their fallen enemy, panting heavily as they surveyed the bloody aftermath of the battle. It had been a fierce and brutal fight, but in the end, the wolf emerged victorious.

As the wolf stood there triumphant, the wind howled around him, carrying the scent of fresh blood across the barren, icy landscape. The Arctic tundra was a harsh and unforgiving place, but the wolf knew he was the king of this frozen realm, and that—

Luke, watching from a distance, had no negative words for this powerful wolf duo who had played an important role within the pack thus far.

...

At this moment, Luke and the wolf duo had returned.

After this outing, he had checked that his wounds were no longer as bothersome as before, but still lay on a flat rock while Baxter dug deep into the cave trying to make his own den, just as his leader was doing.

Luke had received some pieces of arctic fox fur that had been completely stripped and scattered over the rock, enjoying this makeshift bed.

Arctic fox fur is very soft and also has a good heat retention effect.

It's very comfortable to lie on.

As for the female brown bear fur, it had not yet been completely stripped from the corpse, so it could not be dried yet.

As the pack leader, he enjoyed the best treatment from the pack, which was natural and normal.

But Luke still gave half of the furs to Ondina and Anie, who were the calmest within the curve.

Baxter and Ardad, upon arriving at the cave, started a fierce fight. But Luke, who had grown accustomed to this, did not intervene.

Under the influence of the healing talent, Luke's wolf body injury continued to recover quickly.

When he woke up, the scab had just formed, and now the pain had subsided a lot.

The healing talent had several times the speed of recovery, and according to estimates, his wound would heal in a short time and he would be able to hunt again.

As for his sister Ondina in the cave, she was practicing biting with Anie.

The two of them practiced together often and were considered very close. Their strength attributes were not too different, and they had always maintained stability even with their different sizes.

"Auuu!"

A childlike wolf howl could be heard from inside the cave.

This time, the gray wolf Ardad and Anie began to fight.

It was just that the Ardad had obviously been giving Anie a lesson at first. Ardad wanted to show off that he had helped Baxter in the small hunt they had done today, but soon Anie dragged Ardad all over the cave.

"Auauaua!" Ardad howled as Anie dragged him, and Ondina was jumping for joy behind them.

"We're a circus, not the strongest pack in the entire Arctic continent..."
