51 - A mother's happiness

In the den of Luke's parents' wolf pack, he saw that the rest of the wolves were now sleeping. One could say that their mood was low since they preferred sleeping to being awake and feeling hungry. Some of the wolves even had bloody wounds on their skin. This made Luke, who was originally excited, feel a bit confused since this scene was strange for as long as he could remember.

Could there be predators that came to this cave to cause trouble? After wandering his gaze among the wolves, he saw his mother who hadn't changed much. But like the other wolves, she had also lost weight. Her hair had lost its beautiful shine, and seeing his mother in this state made Luke distressed.

As a mother, she must ensure that her cub is well, so she now wants to offer him food if he needs it. Luke, who knew nothing of this, looked at his mother for any kind of injury but fortunately she was fine.

But then he heard his mother howl softly, indicating to Luke to follow her to where she was sleeping.

Luke, who was really happy to meet his mother, followed her and then saw a strange scene.

Luke's mother began to move pieces of ice with her claws and then threw him some small Lemmings and some dark-looking fruits.

Then, with her nose, Luke's mother pushed the food in front of him, growling at him to eat.

But Luke knew that this could be the only food left in his mother's personal reserves. For any wolf, these fruits and Lemmings might be insignificant, but for Luke, this small meal was a sign of the love his mother has for him.

This implied something, the reunion between a wolf mother and her cub is a very tender and emotional scene, which demonstrates the importance of family ties in the lives of animals, something that Luke was very aware of.

This had moved Luke and even if it were a more private scene, he would cry from such emotional emotions he was feeling.

"Auuuu!"

If he's honest, Luke didn't want to eat his mother's personal reserve, but seeing the expectations and happiness in his mother's eyes that were looking directly at him, he didn't want to deny this show of affection. So he simply bowed his head and ate this black-colored fruit.

Wolves are very similar to dogs, as they can eat fruits, insects, and similar things to satisfy their hunger. So, when it comes to wolves, they are not very different in that type of behavior.

Although Luke can also eat some wild fruits, insects, and similar things to satisfy his hunger, this will make him even hungrier in the future.

This is because the taste buds and stomachs of wolves do not really tolerate fruits, as they are not delicious to them.

Therefore, not wanting to eat too much but also not wanting to disregard the loving actions and sacrifices of his mother, Luke approached the fruit and then put it in his mouth.
