57 - Luke is bored

As time passed, Luke had eaten enough to earn a great amount of evolutionary points, which brought him closer to leveling up. This made Luke very happy, as he believed that leveling up was only a matter of time and patience. However, as it became evident, the value of evolutionary points obtained from this type of meat had also decreased, which meant it would no longer be of much help to Luke if he wanted to continue evolving.

In any case, Luke did not eat much more after the evolutionary points were no longer satisfactory, so he stopped eating. After finishing, he walked to the cave entrance and started to guard alongside Anie. 

The wolves that had learned to eat on time did so after Luke, and the sounds of eating echoed through the cave. 

Luke now took care of all the wolves' food, but when they grew up, they would be the ones going for the food. Looking at these future wolves stronger than average, he thought, "Eat until you are full, you must be strong so that you can grow as soon as possible."

After waking them up, everyone came to eat. It is true that there are new changes every day, such as everyone now being able to eat even frozen meat, something they could not do before. Without needing help as they did before, both Ondina, Anie, and Ardad can now eat frozen meat, but it is also true that the need for food increases.

However, wolves do not need to eat every day. In situations where food is scarce, wolves can go without eating for a long time, which is why sometimes their parents did not eat. But that did not stop them from losing weight or strength. Under the polar night, many lose their lives, either in wolf packs or fighting against other predators.

They did not waste much time eating, and after eating what was necessary, they started to do their own things. Ondina started a new fight with Ardad just to prove that she had not won by luck last time.
 
But obviously, Ardad was afraid of this crazy wolf girl and ran around the cave howling, avoiding any kind of confrontation. This made Ondina very angry as she only wanted to practice. But this was only for a few minutes, as Ardad still wanted to know if Ondina's strength was greater than his.

However, at that moment, a huge figure stood in the middle of the cave and winked at the two wolves, indicating that he would attack them together. 

Luke, who was watching all this from the side, noticed that Baxter's body was really big. "Nothing like a distorted documentary of a wolf pack. Now that I think about it, my pack would be a perfect story for a TV program..." 

Luke continued to watch all this with boredom. There was really nothing fun to do every day, and his human mind from his previous life still craved stimulation that he could not satisfy. Therefore, seeing this amusing scene, he thought, "Baxter's strength is too great, and there is no comparison to Ondina or Ardad..."

Since Baxter started hanging out with Luke, he had stopped playing these kinds of games, so some were interested in the result of this little training. When Baxter gave a signal, Ondina was not going to give up easily, so after growling, she attacked her rival.

During this confrontation, Luke never feared that Baxter would exceed his strength, as he had trained him himself and taught him long ago not to abuse Ardad.

But Luke was surprised because Ondina's fighting skills are really great.

Her attacks are very thoughtful and cautious, as if she measures the consequences before taking a single step.

But the gap in strength between the two sides is too great after all, and there is no evaluation term between technique against strength when the strength is so superior.

Even though Ondina faced Baxter head-on, looking for any possible opportunity or ways, whether attacking from below or above, it was even easyfor Baxter, who was just standing.

Baxter now felt like a mini boss within the pack, so he stretched out his paw and pushed Ondina back and forth.

Especially for Ondina, Baxter has a lot of affection and is considerate in all his attacks. So he simply blocked Ondina's attacks, but never counterattacked.

Ondina couldn't make Baxter defend seriously in any of her attacks. After Ardad joined the fight, the two wolves trained Baxter.

But Baxter's strength is too great, so even if both attack with strength and intention to harm, he can suppress those attacks with force.

And Luke, who was watching this, turned his head slightly towards Anie, who seemed to be the most normal of the group.

"Well, at least someone's calm..."

In this way, three to four days had passed according to Luke's calculations.

During that time, the cold wind and snow that had been somewhat troublesome to move around had soaked in a bit.

This time Luke left the cave in the company of Baxter. While they looked for nearby prey, he was exploring his territory in search of those brown bears in the area where his father lived.

He wanted to find out where those abusive bears were.

This time the surroundings were very calm.

In this very calm environment, a pair of scarlet eyes scanned the surroundings, leading the way forward while other pairs of eyes looked back.

The first thing Luke focused on was finding a place where he had been before, and that was the place where his father and his pack had faced off.

After an hour of searching, he determined the exact location of a brown bear.

Surprisingly, this pit is a deaf female bear but she was not pregnant, and apparently had stocked up on food before the polar night.

He was able to determine this because that deaf female bear had a robust body and there were no changes in weight loss due to lack of food.

After the female brown bear walked out of the cave, she returned to her own cave and continued to spend the polar night in hibernation.

The location of the cave is also very hidden, covered by many piles of ice and snow along with green branches.

But this hiding place is not something that Luke can overlook, and after identifying that female brown bear, he turned around.

This brown bear was not the one who had a conflict with the wolf pack that their parents belonged to.

But this is not entirely bad since this female brown bear is not in the close range of the cave where the wolf pack sleeps and the search range should not deviate to this place.

On the other hand, the female brown bear had no wounds at all.

The wolf pack led by his father had eight adult wolves who were very strong. They hunt together, that is a pack to be reckoned with.

After all, the staggered tactics of the wolf pack are not simply face-to-face attacks.

One wolf can attack, entangle, dodge, and many other things...

As long as the enemy is not too strong, they will definitely leave scars under the endless rounds of attack and energy consumption.

Therefore, that brown bear that the pack led by his father faced should have exposed wounds and be easy to identify.
