Chapter 102: Extermination [2]
Arghhhh!!!
Boom!
An agent of the light was suddenly hurled against the wall when a half-possessed human attempted to take over his body. Realizing the agent was protected by the hand of God, the demon snarled in frustration and threw him aside with force.
"Hold your ground, shoot to kill, and don't stop!" Ethan commanded.
"Zz… Switching to higher caliber, I'll handle the vampires!"
"Zz… I think I broke a few ribs; I can't move."
Ethan exhaled sharply, noticing nine shadowy figures manifesting. Half of the shadows left the church to assist the agents outside, who were fending off vampires.
Ethan had an array of supernatural abilities, one of which was lightning manipulation. Without hesitation, he walked over to a power meter, grabbed one of the cables, and connected to the building's energy source. Against such overwhelming darkness, he couldn't afford to hold back, especially when the people around him needed to see results.
Boom!
The violent explosions around them created chaos, but the agents were well coordinated, giving each other space to successfully repel the dark entities.
At that moment, Ethan felt the ground tremble. His gaze shifted down the corridor, where more stone figures were approaching. He immediately began manipulating the darkness. Using both darkness and electricity, Ethan unleashed waves of power, sending dozens of vampires flying.
Lightning crackled and scorched the vampires' bodies. Once most were eliminated, Ethan stepped forward, ready to confront the demon.
"Zz… The regent is handling the demon suppression. It's our time to prepare the reverse ritual to trap it."
Boom!
On the other side of the room, Ethan collided with the demon, which had taken the form of a monstrous goat. With his left hand gripping a sword, he fired several shots into the demon’s grotesque body.
Arghh!!!
Just when Ethan thought he had the upper hand, the demon’s strength surged in a violent burst, realizing it was being trapped.
Boom!
The demon hurled Ethan across the room, sending him crashing into a wall. The impact cracked the old stone, alerting the other agents. They quickly opened fire on the demon.
"I’ll handle this! Defend the relic!" Ethan barked, manipulating the darkness to ensnare the demon’s right leg like a lasso.
While the demon’s current form wasn’t lethal to those who could withstand its physical strikes, its other abilities made it far more dangerous. A sudden gust of wind sent soldiers flying, and Ethan was momentarily trapped behind an invisible barrier.
"Ahhhhhh!"
Bang! Bang! Bang!
"Hold the line!" the agents shouted.
Crack!
Before Ethan could warn them, several agents at the front had their necks snapped. The demon let out a sinister laugh.
"I’m going to bury you alive!" Ethan growled, his eyes darkening as his sword began to glow. With a surge of electricity, he shattered the barrier that had been holding him back, his fists punching through the demon’s heart with terrifying speed.
Ahhhhhh!
Standing face-to-face with Amon, Ethan twisted his sword, causing black blood to pool at their feet. The demon locked eyes with Anton, who stared back without a trace of fear.
"Fight me, you cursed demon!" Anton shouted.
Boom!
With his supernatural strength, Ethan slammed the demon into the wall, lifting it off the ground. Without mercy, he slashed at it with his sword.
"We need to move fast. The regent can’t hold on forever."
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Agents, dragging themselves across the floor with broken limbs, continued firing at the stone figures emerging from the shadows.
Simultaneously, the exorcists began preparing the ancient relic, ready to seal the demon once and for all.
