Chapter 106: No Leaving Victims

The situation outside the church was no better than inside. Agents stationed in nearby buildings moved swiftly to eliminate the vampires closing in from all directions.

"Zz… Armed man, target compromised, eliminate!"

"Ahhhhh!"

"What's happening?"

Liam watched as the eyes of many people changed. Some were saved because he managed to protect them in time, but others were destined to die without making any effort to change their fate.

"Get out of the vehicle with your hands up now!"

"I have to get out of here; my children are in danger." A man named Eben Oslon sat in his vehicle's seat, staring at the people pointing assault rifles at him.

Liam raised his hands to signal the agents to focus on their surroundings, then turned his gaze toward Eben and asked, "Where's your brother?"

"He's with my mother; he went to get her out of the town." Eben glanced at the corpses scattered across the ground, including his family, unsure of what to do next.

"This is all so wrong; we don't know who the monsters are and who aren't. They hide too well..."

Liam pulled several crosses from his jacket and, looking at Pedro, said, "Things in this town are about to get serious. If you want to protect your family, you'll have to stay here... Since you and your brother brought this evil to the town, you at least have to remain."

"What happens now?"

"We've found you, hunters. You will die cruelly in this place." An old woman with a raspy voice spoke to Liam from several meters away.

Within seconds, several agents stepped forward, raising their weapons, but Liam, unfazed by her words, asked, "Tell me where you are. If you want to end my life, you'll have to play with your own too."

"That man knows my name, killed my wife, and left me alive to suffer from her death."

Eben watched as the old woman behaved strangely in front of Liam. He wanted to flee, but somehow, these people seemed to know exactly what they were doing, only killing those who truly needed to die.

"I’ll see you in the center of this town. You will burn in flames just like my minions are."

Liam didn't care about the threat; he had faced real demons before, so one more wouldn’t make much difference.

"You’ve said enough."

A loud gunshot cut off the old woman's words as she was shot in the forehead.

Liam, calm and composed, had shot her without mercy. Blood and brain matter splattered everywhere, creating a truly horrific scene. The caliber of his weapon was high, causing the old woman's head to explode.

At that moment, two people emerged from the bushes, armed with guns.

Seeing them, Liam coldly ordered, "Kill them all, no survivors."

"Understood!"

"Ahhhhh!"

Austin, who was on the other side of the street placing crosses on the doors of houses with people inside, gave clear instructions for them not to leave under any circumstances.

Not everyone was a vampire. Those who did not react to silver were sheltered inside their homes.

"This house is secure; the people inside are neither possessed nor vampires."

The agents immediately marked the house with a green flag and moved on to the next one.

Liam, watching the scene, remarked, "Reinforcements are on the way; we shouldn't waste too much time here."

As part of the containment team, they should now be hunting the demon. So, waiting for Anton to make the decision to pursue it, Liam stayed vigilant around the area.

Liam, still on watch, saw a woman decapitated by a man with a machete, and from a distance, more people approached, intent on killing them. The agents nearby, their bodies trembling, raised their weapons and fired.

"Do not fear! Our regent is fighting right now!" Liam shouted, firing alongside the agents, who thought this massacre seemed endless.

"Ahhhhh!"

Explosions echoed everywhere, and from now on, many would know this town was doomed to become a ghost town.

Liam walked over to the others, and after spotting some white trucks in the distance, said, "Evacuation is about to begin. No one without this cross will be evacuated."

"Understood, sir!"

"Burn the remaining bodies. We need to move quickly."

So many dead...

Liam surveyed the area and counted around twenty bodies. All had been killed after being infected with evil by others.

"Let's go; we need to keep hunting."

"Reload your magazines. We'll move out once everyone is ready." Liam walked toward where the ammunition was stored to refill the empty magazines.

But at that moment, Ethan came crashing out of the building, hitting the ground hard, destroying everything in his path.

"We've sealed the demon, but there's something else in this town waiting for us." Ethan adjusted his jacket, and seeing the destruction around them, he realized they were trapped in a cage meant to confuse them.
