Hunter, Don't Shoot My Friend

Chapter 27: No Problems So Far

"Take him to the main base. Don't give him any food, just water, until I return," Ethan said, personally overseeing Peter being loaded into a special vehicle designed to contain him.

Many might say at this point that Ethan was a hypocrite, and he wouldn't be bothered if they thought that way. The reason for all this was that he had realized during this time that he needed a greater force than he had initially thought.

When his childhood girlfriend was killed by a vampire, Ethan had recently killed the vampire, but his followers had spread across the country.

In this way, if he wanted to live peacefully in this town, he had to be the absolute ruler of Beacon Hills. He needed to control everything around him completely.

Everything that entered this town had to be reported to him; only then would he know when his enemies or friends were nearby.

What he was doing now was essentially creating a small hideout where he could be at peace. Perhaps at this point, he would learn more about dark entities and, for the first time, choose not to kill them.

He would start all this with Derek Hale. He knew that man could be more understanding, so he would wait to have a more peaceful conversation with him.

What concerned Ethan were the hunters who had arrived in this town. He didn't know why they were here, but they were a serious problem for his plans.

That’s why he now needed to visit that hunter family, which isn’t as large nowadays as what would be called a great hunter family.

"Have half of the men escort the alpha. He's poisoned, so he won't be able to fully transform. Therefore, don't be too extreme in your precautions," Ethan said as he climbed into one of the trucks.

It’s true that he expected a bit of resistance, but since Peter knew exactly who Ethan was, he preferred not to take any risks.

"Is this the house?" Ethan wasn’t sure where the Argents lived because all the houses looked the same.

"This is the house."

When Ethan heard the confirmation, he nodded and got out of the truck. It was already night, and it looked like it could rain at any moment, so he wanted to finish quickly and get out of there.

By the time he reached the Argents' door, there was a man on the other side of the door. As soon as one of Ethan’s agents knocked, the man opened it.

Chris Argent, a Caucasian man, stepped out, eyeing the people in front of him suspiciously, and instinctively reached for a gun behind his back.

"Can I help you, gentlemen?"

"Shall we speak in private?" Ethan pulled a black coin from his pocket, reflecting his authority within the S.G.C. organization as a hunter and as the leader of the strongest hunter family currently in existence.

When Chris received the coin, his hands trembled. He turned it over and knew it belonged to the Winchester family.

"Of course..."

Ethan then entered the Argent household and said, "A nice home. Is it just your family here?"

"Yes, my wife and daughter, Regent," Chris replied, unsure why Ethan was in his home.

"Don’t call me Regent. We’re in your home, so just call me Ethan."

"Understood, sir."

"Since you've moved to a town where you’ve been before, I have only one question. Was it because of Laura Hale’s death?" Ethan asked as he sat on a couch, waiting for Chris to do the same.

"I'm not sure what you mean..."

"Then I’ll be clear. From now on until I say otherwise, your activities in this town have been revoked," Ethan said with a kind smile.

"You can't do that to us." A woman, whom Ethan guessed was Chris's wife, entered the room holding a knife.

Ethan smiled kindly and responded, "Perhaps you’re unaware, but the Hale family has been a respected pack of werewolves who haven’t committed any crimes since the treaty was made hundreds of years ago with the Light Association."

"That's impossible."

"I would have considered it that way, but a few years ago, when the Hale family was burned, no one sought answers. There wasn’t much time available then, so now I’ll be a judge for them."

"Now the famous Ethan Winchester is a judge for dark entities?" Chris asked, slightly irritated, knowing that if his father was evil and lacked codes, Ethan was ten times worse.

Ethan smiled nonchalantly and said, "Things change, and so do I. So those are the instructions for your family. Of course, when I’m not in this town, it will be under your jurisdiction according to my orders, so I'm grateful that the Argent family is here with us."
