This film has a cult status for a reason, but I'm hoping others will agree with me and say that there's still a MASSIVE gap in your film appreciation, in respect of Stephen King adaptations *AND* Academy Award-nominated pictures. The movie I refer to is Brian De Palma's "Carrie" (1976). Why would you choose Christine before Carrie?!

2021-06-12 01:38:04 +0000 UTCAround 1 hr 34 minutes you're talking about when we see Christine for the first time through Arnie's eyes and she's "old, messed up"....because she didn't have anyone to love her. The previous owner loved her but killed himself, wasn't it only a few weeks or couple months before Arnie saw her? My guess is while the previous owner was alive, she was pristine Christine lol, but the short period of time after his death, she deteriorated to that point. The brother had Arnie start her to see if Christine wanted him back, if she didn't want him, she wouldn't have started (I think).
