Never understood the hate for this. Still a fun entry and I’m looking forward to the new one

2021-08-22 15:24:11 +0000 UTCI agree that it should have been more subtle. I also noticed that none of the characters in this one were very likable, so I didn't care as much as the movie went on. The original "Raiders" idea was based on the Saturday matinee cinema shorts from the 30s and 40s which were fast-moving adventures for kids, and it succeeded in reproducing that for an 80s audience. This one feels like a long video game, so it's fun for a while, but then gets boring. I'm an older guy and I'm not into gaming, so I feel like most overly CGI movies are just trying to recreate video games on a big screen, which doesn't really make for a successful film experience. Anyway, I think your reactions and observations are accurate and fair, and I appreciate you making an effort while you sit in your solitary suffering. Have a fun wedding, Tom!
