A love letter to Stockholm | Vlog 1

I am so, so happy and excited to be bringing you the first vlog from Stockholm. I have loved every single second of editing this video and it's the biggest edit I've done in a really long time (its also the first time I've ever done all my own sound design!)
I start talking towards the end of the vlog about my feelings towards work and life and it was definitely the first murmurings of what I posted about yesterday.

I wouldn’t be able to afford it with everything already planned for this year and in particular, Thailand will be expensive and require major saving up. Nice idea in some ways, though, going with a group of like-minded people.

2023-03-07 15:09:53 +0000 UTCYes, Michael, I think that’s probably correct. I am not sure, but I think I only get email notifications when someone posts a reply to a new comment by me. Never really thought about whether notifications are sent at other times, but I don’t think so.🤔

2023-03-07 15:05:25 +0000 UTCThinking about it a bit more, maybe we receive notifications whenever it's a new message that we post and someone replies to that initial message, but if our message is a reply to someone else and someone responds to your reply, then I don't think you will get any notifications for any of those 'reply' messages. Sorry if that's a bit convoluted, but I think it makes sense!

That 'Young Royals' trip involving that Youtuber as mentioned above, although sounds amazing, does sound as if it could be rather pricey, considering what he intends to include. I think though judging from what he is saying that he has quite a few takers already for his trip.

It will probably be in 2025 actually as I am going with someone else and we both have quite a bit of saving up to do, me because of going to Thailand in early 2024 with my husband and my friend, because it’s a big trip, taking in other destinations as well. Exciting though!

Is that the same for everyone? At the moment I have to sift through all my posts to find out if there has been a reply or not. As I say, on rare occasions I do get an email notifying me of a reply.

2023-03-05 21:57:14 +0000 UTCYes, it’s the Stockholm Public Library, built in the 1920’s and opened in 1928, the round room is in the centre part of the building, it is seen from outside as a cylinder on top of the square building, and a very beautiful library indeed ! 😃

The almost 08 years living abroad and being able to visit incredible places and getting to know different cultures and languages made the last 03 years tough. When I moved back to Brazil I took some time to get to know my own country. Brazil is so big and each region has a culture of its own. Now I feel it is time to go back to Europe and visit some old places (Dublin has a special place in my life) and new ones. Stockholm is a main priority for sure. 😊

You definitely didn’t need to feel guilty about taking the time to let your body adjust to relaxation mode. (13 hours of sleep sounds like bliss to me.) I’ve seen photos online of at least one of those train stations, and they are indeed breathtaking. That wall of books that Audrey mentioned was breathtaking as well. Watching this makes me look even more forward to the next video of this wonderful trip.

I will be going to Stockholm for a few days in 2024, I hope, as we already have two separate visits to Greece booked this year, various shorter trips elsewhere in the UK and then I have to save up for ten days in Thailand next January. But I am already looking forward to Stockholm. I will also look forward to hearing about your trip. 😊

2023-03-05 13:17:06 +0000 UTCOk, so you've sold me Stockholm! I think a summer visit is due for me. It's above the arctic circle and it would be great to experience the sun never completely setting during the summer months. Maybe go for a few weeks to see places outside of Stockholm.

I was so looking forward to seeing this and it didn't disappoint, Stockholm is beautiful and your excitement and joy at what you were doing just shone through so brightly 😊 I really need to go experience this all for myself now at some point this year. ❤️❤️ Edit: forgot to say I went OMG when I saw that wall of books, which I assume was a library??
