Reacting To SKAM Season 3 - Episode 9

GUYS. This episode got me. Haven't been able to stop thinking about it. Let me know your thoughts below?

Love, always ❤️

Comments

Such a beautiful, powerful and tender final scene. “You are Not Alone”

Diane Furlong

Don’t threaten us with a good time Jackie!!!!

Laura Ibarra

I am not a fan of SKAM too but I watched Druck S3. Actually I watched it before SKAM OG S3 and I must say that I enjoyed Druck more. Maybe because it portrays experiences that I see and listen in my everyday at the clinic. However I feel they could have explored some issues a bit deeper.

Ingrid Machado Pena

yay

Rosie Dickinson

who’s to say it’s not already been filmed… 😉

Now that you are finished with the series I was hoping that you might do a reaction to the bloopers and to the trailer. the trailers for Skam are very different to most other trailers and the one for this season is quite amusing. It is almost like it's own clip. The bloopers themselves also include some of the behind the scenes clips from the series.

As most of this Patreon community knows, I am not a fan of SKAM,😏 but I did watch an edit of Druck a while ago on YouTube, to see what I thought of it and I quite enjoyed that, so, perhaps surprisingly, I wouldn’t mind watching it later on, after a break.

I will just throw in here that to me, the German version, which is called Druck, is the best of the remakes of season 3 by far and definitely deserves a look eventually.

I love the live version and the new version. Omar's music is doing really well. The k pop fans seem to have discovered him on ticktock and someone with 11 million followers used the Mi Casa Su Casa sound to dance and lip sync to. He seems to be doing well in Eastern Europe and with K pop fans.

Thanks Audrey! ❤️x

Hi Daren, i’m definitely adding the french and Belgian versions to my list of shows to react to but it’ll be in a while. I’m very excited to watch them though!

Huge welcome to this wonderful community, Brian! It’s my boyfriends hoodie so I end up wearing it a lot! We we lucky enough to ride the train during our visit to alaska in 2019. I have some pics of it on my instagram if you scroll far enough back ☺️

Jackie-Ross Lavender

That was magnificent, and I have tears streaming down my face at the moment. Hi Jackie, from a new Canadian member! On a lighter note, I noticed that you ditched the White Pass Yukon Route hoodie on this episode - somewhere I have been - not on the train line itself but in the area!

It looks like that when the singer turned his eyes to look directly at Isak. that was the point that made Isak realise that Even could be in danger judging from the wording of Even's text and was maybe contemplating suicide and that he needed to leave the church immediately to check to see if Even was ok. You see Isak reading Evan's message again and then get up to leave. Isak was in a bit of a state of panic at that point which is why he ran to the bench where they first met hoping Even would be there.

Michael

I noticed the cross but I never thought of the text being a suicide note 🤔

Audrey Gunn

Hello, I watched this a series a while back but I have enjoyed watching with you again. The French and Belgium remakes a really nice two. They follow along with this one but make changes so that it keeps you interested. They are also very visually pleasing with the way they are shot. I hope you are having an amazing week and look forward the your next video.

Did you notice the cross in the church, looking like the ones in the church-scene in Romeo & Juliet? And how Isak first has a bit of a smile when he reads Even's text, and then as the song starts, and the singer looks right at him, he seems to slowly re-interpret the situation, takes up the phone and reads the text again with new insight (It has been said it's supposed to read as a suicide note)

This is an interview with Tarjei on the Norwegian National TV NRK channel. It's a popular chat show programme called Skavlan that has some great artists/personalities etc. interviewed. There have been some really good ones in the past such as Tom Daley interviewed together with Nile Rodgers. Also interviewed have been Roger Waters from the Pink Floyd band together with the Polish Prime Minister I think it was. Anyway, this section from an episode was transmitted just before SKAM Season 3 was aired on Norwegian National TV. The bits featuring Tarjei (he's still only 17 in this interview) are fascinating and his responses to some personal questions are rather interesting. But the really good bit for me is when one of the guests says something important to Tarjei and that comes at the 5:50 part of this interview. This video has subtitles. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XO2CEW3lAQk

Sorry Jackie - no shade meant. I'll delete my comment above. My fault - just me being impatient!

Michael

That's not what I was meaning to do at all, I'm happy with the two videos a week, I just want this week to go quicker 😂

Audrey Gunn

guys please don’t make me feel bad about the weekly content ♥️

Jackie-Ross Lavender

Lane - can't add anything to what you've said here as you have put it so perfectly.

Michael

Holy hell, where did that episode come from? Jeez, I think I was holding my breath the whole way through that last scene with O Holy Night (a song that always gets me anyway) and I only let it go when he said "you are not alone" that combined with his mothers acceptance of him and Magnus' information about Bipolar disorder made this such a powerful episode. ❤️❤️ Can't wait to watch the last one and see how it all ends, don't take too long to post it please 🙏🙏

Audrey Gunn

No matter how many times I have watched that final scene, it always brings me to tears. And everything about it is so incredibly beautiful, from the song, which I’ve always thought is the most beautiful Christmas song ever, to the photography to the performances. In fact, that scene won an award for “TV Moment of the Year” at Norway’s annual television awards. And if that scene weren’t enough to make this my favorite episode of the season, there’s the one with Magnus, which I have seen someone refer to as “Magnus saves 2016.” He tells Isak exactly what he needs to hear, in the way only Magnus could. And I’m glad you enjoyed the video of Tarjei in “Grease.”🙂
