I kinda disagree. You just have to remember how long ago this actually was and how young Tarjei was. He is proud of the character and the series, but he doesn't want to talk about it forever. Him and Henrik (Even) were very proud of this season and showed that for years in interviews. I find it interesting you think there was no chemistry when these guys were making out at awards shows and parties, lol. Just kidding, but they actually were really good friends and have always spoken highly of each other and loved working together. But it's been about 6+ years since this show started and he is worked on many other things. He prefers theater more than film and tv as well. So imagine having so many awesome achievements and people only want to ask about one show you did. It's not that he's not proud, it's that he is not Isak, he is Tarjei and probably wants to be known as that, not one character he did.

I also suggest watching Season 4 - the continuing development of Isak's character is amazing. I am disturbed though. I have become attached to both the characters and the actors in Heartstopper and Young Royals. In their interviews and promotion of the shows, they have been so proud of their work and incredibly entertaining. Tarjei, the actor that plays Isak, not so much, It makes me wonder if he was protected enough, safe enough, prepared enough, and mature enough for the success of the series. In the interviews after the show there was no chemistry amongst the cast, and in his later interviews he had no interest in talking about it. It seems sad to me, and makes me uncomfortable.

The birthday video is after S4 and the bloopers that you are talking about is a S4 blooper. There are some you tube videos that were made for S4 as Sana's brother and his friends have a you tube channel and Evan is in one of those videos.

That’s certainly true. Maybe hit albums and stadium tours then world domination! I hope so! I know he’s done a horror film, although I am not sure if it’s been released yet and might have just been an experiment on his part. I just hope that in an attempt not to close any doors, he doesn’t take a scatter-gun approach and spread his talents too thinly. He says that music is his passion so I really hope that he’ll be true to it. Unless of course, he and Edvin have an offer to do something special together, which would be unlikely but wonderful. ❤️🫠

Maybe at the moment he's just interested in recording and wouldn't do musicals but I think it would be a good option I think I read that he would be interested in musicals but maybe films or TV. A lot of pop singers do musicals and with how he really portrays emotions in his singing he would be so good at it.

Sorry..not sure what happened there! He’s on record as saying he doesn’t like to close any doors, so I guess he would be interested in keeping future options open. I am not sure whether he would see himself in musical theatre, although I would definitely go and see him in anything. He’s a born performer and I love the dance videos, but exactly where he sees himself going is maybe not clear yet. Seems to me to be in recording, at least for now?

Yes, I agree that Omar needs to raise his profile and their appearance on The Jimmy Fallon Show certainly did that for them and of course they jumped at the chance. But I agree that they need to raise their awareness amongst the British mainstream public and as you say an appearance on a British chat show would benefit them greatly I should think. Ideally, The Graham Norton Show, but I don't think that would happen, the main reason being as you say they are not big enough stars (yet). I would say that their appearance would have been almost guaranteed on that show if 'Young Royals' was a British Netflix series rather than a Swedish one. I was a bit surprised that Kit and Joe were not asked to appear on the GN Show, but again they're newcomers to the business AND only 18's and over are invited on and at the time of release of the first season, both Kit and Joe may have been less than 18? Having said that they did appear on breakfast TV at the time, but that programme is rated as 'family friendly’. Just to add, I would love to see Omar do musical theatre - that would be great! I'd go and see that certainly!

I think it would be good to have management like that but I don't think he's well known enough for them. He needs to raise his profile more. I feel like he is starting to do this with fashion week and fragrance promotion but he needs radio play and more fun chat shows outside Sweden. I think the Australian interview was a good opportunity and apparently it crashed the website as so many people wanted to listen to it. I would love see him and Edvin on a UK chat show and Omar perform. I think Omar really comes in to his own in front of an audience when he can be fun and not be asked to many of the same boring questions. Edvin is very intelligent and thoughtful but Omar is a performer. I would love to see Omar on a dance show I don't think he would have the fame for dancing with the stars but a show like that would get his name known and could lead to musical theatre opportunities and ultimately film musicals

I'm just wondering you know if during his conversation with Troye whether they discussed Troye's management because Troy's management is one and the same as Harry Styles' management. They are of course top notch.

I hope so to. I notice Omar has not really promoted the remixes and only retweeted the record company's tweet about it. He usually promotes it on his Instagram story and tweets about it. It gives me the impression he didn't want the remixes but was obliged to put them out.

It's more complicated than that as people don't always tweet them directly they tweet about them and they can see what is being said. The problem is there is a lot of young people on twitter who think they are best friends with them and will turn against them easily when they do something they don't like. They don't have a full understanding of how complicated situations can be things are not always black and white. Also it's understandable that people are interested in Omar and Edvin etc but people go to far and will not respect their privacy . Having said all that sometimes it's legitimate to have criticism of someone or a situation we can't just excuse things because we like someone as this leads to other problems I believe the new remixes of Mi Casa Su Casa are terrible and people are annoyed about it. I think people are entitled to have an opinion about it but I don't think it's Omar's fault I think it's record company's fault. I believe record company contacts give you little say in things. I think it's legitimate to criticize his record company as they don't seem to be doing much to promote him and work with decent producers. Omar is so talented and beautiful he should be more well known than he is and it seems that his record company are not doing anything. In fact the new remixes are having a negative impact as people have made fun of them on ticktock when the original version was getting recognised. I saw recently that he had meetings at another record company and produced so maybe he might have another record company outside of Sweden.

There's always something on twitter People were giving hate to Nurbo last year who Omar is close too and speculating about the relationship. Lots of people want to criticize him for any choice he makes. He was targeted by people when Edvin deactivated twitter and he tweeted that Edvin was fine but there were a lot of toxic people on there. He got a lot of harassment about tweeting saying he was making it worse and was making it about himself. Recently Omar got a lot of abuse as he reposted something from a fan on ticktock who has been promoting his music and making it gain popularity there. The fan appears to be Russian and people were saying he shouldn't have posted it and he's not supporting Ukraine. Today he's been getting a lot of hate because he posted about his upset about the Uganda LGBTQ ban.

Yes it was interesting to hear about him meeting Troye and Kit. I thought he would have spoken to them at Fashion week. Everyone on twitter was wondering if hes he'd met them. He knows all about what people say on social media people were surprised he didn't want to correct the record about anything untrue he's read but I think it's best to ignore most of it as it just brings it to more people's attention.

Thanks Jayne for that link - for me it was interesting to hear about his liasons with Troye Sivan and Kit Connor. I would love to see him collab with Troye on a future song, That would be great. I've been following Troye for years, first as one of the OG's on YouTube, then both his mainstream singing and acting careers. If you ever get a chance to see his last film called 'Three Months' which was released about a year ago now, he's really good in that. He's also appearing in a new film called 'The Idol', but there are some difficulties with its release at the moment because of its controversial content.

Maybe as Jayne says it could be an issue with the app. I try to access most internet stuff from my PC and not my iPad as I find the full online websites are more comprehensive and reliable than iPad/iPhone apps.

How odd - can't think of any way or method of altering that at the moment. With Youtube videos, very often one is able to switch on and off subtitles and also select a language from most countries of the world (although in that case the English translations are pretty rubbish tbh).

No matter how many times I watch this series, when Isak says he forgot about Kosegruppa I realize that so did I.. again :-) So much has happened and the Isak that showed up at that first meeting seems to be a totally different person. I love how they used this ep to tie up the side storylines, and even the one from season one between Isak, Eva and Jonas. Thank you for reacting to it! <3

I just started to watch this and for some reason I have subtitles on the screen from the beginning when Jackie is talking and then when Skam starts I have Norwegian subtitles overlapping the English ones from the show which is annoying because they obscure what's being said. Did anyone else have this problem and if not know how can I get rid of them??

Wonderful - both the series and your reaction. Now for a bit of controversy (possibly). I think Isak and Even here are at the top of the league as far as the cuteness factor goes, closely followed by Charlie and Nick and then Wilhelm and Simon.

The ending gets to me every time. And to me the whole season is about not just Isak coming to terms with his sexuality; it’s Isak becoming the person he was always meant to be, becoming his true, authentic self. Tarjei (pronounced, as best I can tell, tar-yeh) is truly incredible in this season. I also hope you end up watching the fourth season, which is mostly about Sana but also has a nice amount of Isak and Even content that answers some so far unanswered questions. Something unrelated that I want to make sure to mention is another Thai television show that definitely gave me some Heartstopper vibes, even though its storyline is completely different. It’s called “My School President,” and like Heartstopper, it is good about resolving things in each episode, and so that each episode leaves you with a positive feeling. And because it has to do with a band, it also has lots of great music in it.
