Things are certainly starting to get very, very interesting in Episode 4 of Looking... 👀

The bearded friend of Doris is called Hugo - and he was in one (or maybe two?) scene in the first episode. He is a bartender at the restaurant where Dom works. :) Can't wait for the next ep! It's may favorite of all of them. Truly great.

I’m very tempted to say something about Lynn not wanting to make a Quantum Leap with Dom. 😉 This show continues to remind me more of the American version of Queer As Folk than anything else I’ve seen recently. Jonathan Groff does have an inherent likability that makes you want to see things go the right way for him, even when he makes bad decisions.

2023-04-21 22:21:20 +0000 UTCI am definitely getting into this more now, after a slow start. I think Patrick is all too aware that his boss has a boyfriend who may be elsewhere most of the time, but he’s still the boyfriend. And who wants to be a stand-in when the boyfriend is not there, which is what he’s nervous of, being used and getting into a precarious situation with his boss. But there’s certainly chemistry between him and Russell Tovey’s character and I’m sure that will be developed in coming episodes. The flower shop co-owner (sorry, not sure of some of the names yet) is I think being defensive because he’s somewhat older and cautious about boundaries. Pretty sure that something is going to develop there too, though. There’s a kind of uncertainty mixed with attraction already. Enjoyed this and it lifted my evening! ❤️Thanks! x

2023-04-21 22:19:52 +0000 UTCI couldn't agree more about everything you said, Jackie, including that Ruth is amazing! She is! ♥️ I love absolutely everything about J. Groff and I feel for Patrick most of the time. It seems he is trying so hard to fit in. I'm happy that Richie is back but I feel the real deal will be with Kevin... We all need a friend like Doris. 😂 I don't know how to feel about Augustin... It's worrying... About Don... Maybe things change after the whole "it's not a date thing". It seems more than business... Who knows?

2023-04-21 22:19:26 +0000 UTCAww, I loved this episode, so happy to see Patrick and Ritchie together although I think there might be some chemistry between him and his boss as well and I can see that maybe coming into play later on. Like you Jackie, I'm upset about Dom and Lynn not getting together, I really thought they had something there. Also slightly worried about Patrick's friend (whose name I can't remember right now!) and the lane he is going down with CJ and this sex worker business.
