I understand why you deleted your comment but I must confess that I love that the reactor’s comments put you in a fighting mood, even if you think not. I’m very invested, too, but what I objected to was what I saw as unfair negative criticism of the writing and cinematography of episode 1, not seeing those subtle patterns and echoes. We’ll see how the reaction to episode 2 shapes up.

2023-06-11 19:02:21 +0000 UTCYes, I deleted it myself. As a sometime actor, writer, director I can get too invested in things that I find particularly arresting. I forget other folks may not find what I like as enjoyable. What I find so much fun about the various reaction videos for Young Royals is watching it again with someone else. But what gripes me about some, even some reactors that I generally really enjoy, is the attitude that, "Well, that's wrong. That isn't how the story should have gone." Young Royals is Lisa's story. It unfolds as she has decided it should. People are perfectly entitled to like it or not like it but the arrogance of someone to say that it "should" be something else puts me in a fighting mood. And it shouldn't.
