Reacting to Looking Season 2 - Episode 8

Hey beautiful people,

Welcome back to another video and to Episode 8 of our reactions to Season 2 of Looking.

We're starting to come to the end of this series and I have to say... I've absolutely loved it! It's been a whirlwind but an enjoyable experience!

See you in the comments <3

Love, always ♥️

Fun fact about THE SWEATER. That is Russell's actual sweater, of his irl Frenchie dog ROCKY 🐶

I will prepare myself for Patrick falling off an emotional cliff…😬

I sense you’ve watched and recorded reactions to the remaining episodes and are just tiptoeing in here with a gentle hint! 😂

Graham & Ruth May

Dom is definitely off in this episode but I think it's just the stress of opening up the chicken window. I'm hoping he doesn't let the stress of that ruiin his friendships!

Jackie-Ross Lavender

I DON'T TRUST KEVIN EITHER!!!!

Jackie-Ross Lavender

It is for me, but I will stick around whatever you decide to react to. ❤️ I am looking forward to Heartstopper and Red, White and Royal Blue, then the pinnacle of stress, anxiety, drama and please, a possibility of a happy ending 🙏🤞🙏 which will test my nerves to the absolute limit: Young Royals season 3, whenever we finally get it.

You need to give it more than one episode Lane, they do grow on you once you know their backgrounds.

Audrey Gunn

I have to admit, I watched one episode of it when someone else was reacting, and I was not terribly taken with it. The characters weren’t as compelling to me as in any of the other shows we’ve watched here.

Lane Wright

I've never watched, but heard good things about it. That's an example of "other great shows to be watched" I mentioned. 😉 And films! I've been recommending to everyone a Brazilian movie from 2014 called The Way He Looks. I'm biased on this one, but it's lovely!

Ingrid Machado Pena

I love Heartbreak High, it's one of the ones I recommended to Jackie to review 😊

Audrey Gunn

It’s actually really high on my list!

Jackie-Ross Lavender

Curious how others feel about Heartbreak High? I’m biased because I’m Aussie, but I’d love to see reactions to it.

Kim Engel

seems like SKAM France is a unanimous no 🤣

Jackie-Ross Lavender

I'm hoping you don't go with any more Skam versions or Druck if I'm being honest. xx

Audrey Gunn

About the episode... I don't know... I can't really fall in love with Patrick and Kevin relationship. But I agree with Lane I feel Ritchie is better off without Patrick. Ritchie is my fave and I really like Eddie as well. Again, I'm with Lane and Ruth and hope you don't choose SF. ❤️

Ingrid Machado Pena

I still haven't watched this episode... I'm a bit behind, but yeah, I have to say If we go back to the SKAM universe, I'm in for Druck too. I am hoping you don't go for SKAM France... There are other great shows to be watched and I would love to watch with you and the community. 😉

Ingrid Machado Pena

I’m in for Druck, too, but I’m really hoping that you will decide against Skam France. Just not my thing, so I’ll wait for Heartstopper and stick with that, if you decide to react to SF. x❤️

I’m also feeling as though things are not quite as OK as they seem to be at this point. And I still feel as though Richie is much better off without Patrick, whatever his relationship with Brady might be. Since the next episode is the penultimate one of the season, I’m fully expecting everything to fall apart in that episode, and then at least partially resolve in episode 10. I know it’s entirely possible episode 10 will end with a cliffhanger, which will explain the reason for the movie. I guess we’ll have to just wait and see. I’m sort of hoping you don’t decide to go to Skam France next, since I’ve just been watching another reaction channel doing that same season, reminding me of the few things about it I like and the many things about it I don’t care for. I much prefer the German version, Druck, which I think is far away the best remake of the OG season three. I’ll watch either way, but be prepared for my honest reactions.

Lane Wright

Wow, 2 relatively easygoing episodes in a row, the cynic in me isn't expecting that to last much longer, especially with only two episodes to go! I have to admit, Patrick and Kevin do look good together now that they're out and willing to be seen together in public, it just means more than only seeing them in bed all the time, there was a brief moment when I thought that Kevin wasn't going to say I Love You back when Patrick said it but I was wrong and happy to be. I'm not sure if there is any more feelings for Ritchie from Patrick but there is definitely some major ones coming from Ritchie, he almost seems jealous in a way, I wonder if there is some trouble brewing with Brady as they have always looked solid but not in this episode. Not sure how I feel about Dom in this episode, he just seemed to be in a weird self obsessed (?) mood and that phone message he left Doris seemed a bit hard 'I take it you're not coming back then' she is allowed a life outside of helping him all the time.

Audrey Gunn

This all seems so good, so why does it feel as if it’s not going to last and that something is about to kick off? There’s a few things already niggling under the surface: Dom trying to organise the chicken window on his own, Augustine being weird, Richie and Patrick still feeling more for each other than friendship; and I just don’t trust Kevin- or Patrick, actually.
