Halloween Prompt 4

Day 4

Rosanna’s alchemy had always been impressive, however the effects of each potion was never immediately apparent. That required a test subject. Who better than herself? She wanted the results to be a surprise to her peers. That meant she needed to keep it secret until then.

She wished she had opted for a test subject this time. Some would say hindsight was 20/20, but Rosanna actually had a potion that would let someone glimpse into the future. She forgot to use it before she drank what turned out to be a spicy potion. Very spicy.

Very very very spicy.

VERY UNBELIEVABLE UNIMAGINABLY UNWORLDLY SPICY!

“Hot hot hot hot!” Rosanna cried as she lifted an earthen jug and doused her tongue. She drank ravenously until her belly bid her stop. She hunched over, rubbing her incredibly bloated midsection. She wrote it off as water weight that would be dealt with in time. Plus there had been plenty of times her magical potions had caused absurd growth.

However, her body still seemed to swell. The heat from her mouth had been carried with the water…which was now boiling…inside her stomach. Steam, her stomach was now expanding with steam.

“Shit…” Rosanna cursed as she watched her belly bulge and swell further. It now looked like she had stuffed an orb half her height under her robes, and it only continued to get bigger. She had done magic that changed her body, yes. It still had limits, though. The pressure in her belly became nearly unbearable. Instead of popping like a balloon, her mouth opened and she belched.

“HOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRPPPPPPPP!” Rosanna’s belch rang through the room and was followed with a torrent of flames. She clapped her hands under her mouth and looked to her belly. It was still swollen and seemed to grow larger. The steam had yet to dissipate…but that meant she had time to devise adjustments to this potion. She might have found a spell of fire breathing.

Or perhaps a new seasoning if she diluted it more…
