It had all started with a special mission. The Aegis squad was sent to investigate D-waves present on a deserted island. D-waves' presence meant only one thing: that a massive rapture known as Gatekeeper was present. This Rapture could pull people from other dimensions into their world, so immediate action was mandatory.
The Aegis squad was naturally selected as they were trained and designed to work at sea. Granted, they didn’t often have the opportunity to do so. The mission would be straightforward work for them…or it should have been.
