The group was silent for a moment. They might have reunited, but their situation was still dire. Food could appear around any corner, and they would feel compelled to eat it. Any further incidents could make them too fat to search for an exit. It wasn’t hard to imagine a doomed fate where they would be too fat to move. They would likely eat endlessly, clogging the winding halls of this unsettling maze. They would become so helplessly obese that there would be no hope of escape.
Blake was the first to speak. “Since we’re together now, we can work together to find an escape. Maybe we can afford to split up just a little?” She suggested and gestured toward the various doorways. She ignored how her arm fat wobbled and continued her idea. “These rooms are either dead ends or lead into another room. I’ll stay in this central hallway, and you three can look into these extra rooms. I’ll be able to hear if anyone starts eating, so I can shout to snap you out of it.”
