Patreon Update

Hello my friends,

I hope you are having a good week so far. Today I found out some unfortunate news that my monthly art raffle conflicted with Patreon's Terms of Use and I will not be allowed to continue offering the chance to win items. They explain it in these words:

"The main reason for this is to better protect the patron community from fraud (we've seen quite a few of these cases, unfortunately) and to make sure we are in accordance with state gambling laws."

My intention was to ensure that everyone would win over the course of time, but I wanted to make it a little fun and unpredictable. All I've ever wanted for the Cabana Club was to offer a good experience to you, my friends. It breaks my heart to not be able to offer very much and to let anyone down.

I don't want to give up on Patreon. Failure is part of the path to success, and I think eventually I will find what works. It's just been difficult lately to find the time to put the mental energy and the preparation work in. I have stopped accepting commissions outside the ongoing arrangements I have, but my list is still quite long.

For now I have removed but not replaced the raffle entry tier rewards, and I am hoping to figure out what to offer officially before October. 

So far the only idea I've had is sending the raffle prize items to each patron as a one-time reward. I know a few have opted out due to not wanting their address out there, which I completely understand. I don't want any red flags associated with the Cabana Club, but I would love to send out gifts of thanks to any Patrons that want to send me their address. The timing of the shipments will depend on how quickly I can prepare the items and will not be limited by what month it is, but I will want to do it as quickly as I can. 

Just to clarify, all patrons who have signed up before September 11, 2018 will be sent a package if they haven't already received one, as long as they send me their address. This offer stands regardless of what I wind up offering officially in the tier rewards going forward.

I'm also considering pausing the Cabana Club until I am able to offer more, but I want to put a bit more thought into it and see if a solution presents itself or not. Pausing would mean my existing content is still available but you will not be charged that month.

I'm of course always open to suggestions for rewards I can offer and the type of content you would like to see. Thank you all so much for all your support and friendship. Whatever happens, I hope you know I sincerely appreciate every one of you and only wish to give back as much as I can.
