Sometimes accessibility services on Android make your device slow. This is an Android issue that AutoInput can't avoid.
However, in the next version, AutoInput will work around this issue by allowing you to enable the service only when needed!
As you can see in the example, the service is enabled to click on stuff and then disabled after clicking is done! :)
I plan on releasing this version next week as a beta, but you can try it here right if you'd like! :)

2019-01-25 15:38:48 +0000 UTCSo after the update today to Autoinput 2.8.2b the Accessibility icon stays on again. This time though the option in Autoinput to run in Foreground is greyed out (can't select it either way). Was that intended?

2019-01-23 18:13:22 +0000 UTCI'm out of ideas here.. As a last resort, I disabled all profiles in Tasker and rebooted. Ran the task and the notification stays. Hope it's just me but in the end it's really not a big deal. I had Autoinput running all the time before so I had the notification priority set to low so I always had the low priority notification anyways. After the update, it must have reset the notification and that's why I noticed it. I can always change it to low again. I appreciate the work you always put into this but unless you get a bunch of other reports, it's not worth your trouble just for me. Thank you for all that you do.. you are really incredible and I have enjoyed all the work you do for us 👍👍

2019-01-23 17:32:48 +0000 UTCBefore running the task, yes.. after running the task, no.. only a restart makes it go away. It's not Secure Startup, I disabled that. After restart, looked on Developer Options>Running Services and Autoinput does not show up in there. Toggled Autoinput Accessability on and it still does not show in Running Services. Toggled Autoinput Accessability off. Does not show in Running Services. Ran Task.. Notification stays and Running Services shows Autoinput 1 process 0 services. Hope it helps but really not a big deal. I can change the notification priority to make it not show the icon in the Taskbar.

2019-01-23 17:13:34 +0000 UTCGuess we'll have to see if someone else starts reporting this.. I'm not having much luck. Service was off so I turned it on (got notification as expected ) .. Restarted.. Turned it off (no notification) .. Restarted.. No notification at this time. Ran task and notification stays on. Accessibility for Autoinput in settings shows to be off after running task. Turning Accessibility on/off on settings does not make it go away either. Only a restart makes it go away. Sorry 😭😭

2019-01-23 16:44:57 +0000 UTCUnfortunately, no it does not help. Once I run the task, the notification stays until I do a restart. So.. I've restarted about a dozen times so far since trying this. I could always hide the notification or lower the priority of it to get rid of it if need be. Not sure if it has something to do with Secure Startup or not maybe. I do have Secure Startup enabled. I know if I go to Settings and turn on Accessability for Autoinput then it affects Secure Startup.

One thing I've noticed on my Galaxy Note 9 though is that the Autoinput service notification stays active after running the task even though I turned off Accessibility. Only way to get rid of the notification is to restart the device. Not sure why the notification is staying.. in settings it does shows Autoinput Accessibility to be off.

2019-01-23 12:20:00 +0000 UTCOne small problem. Under the AutoInput>UI Query action, the Accessibility settings do not show up under the Advanced menu. I have a profile to toggle Airplane Mode using Autoinput but that profile won't run now unless I grant Accessability under Android settings.

2019-01-18 20:26:45 +0000 UTCWorked great. I had accessibility turned on all the time for Autoinput and still don't know why. Turned it off and installed the update. Modified your Google Assistant sample and it said I had to give Write Secure Settings to Autoinput which I did. Modified the sample and ran it which worked great! Thanks!
