That’s how her dialogue and facial expressions came off to me. Maidservant Kim and Jin’s love languages are different so theyre clashing for now. You got read the facial expressions and read between the lines with these twisted love entanglements they got going on.

I can understand Mudeok who is afraid to reveal her feelings because it can have consequences but it creates a whole misunderstanding sometimes. My poor Yul understood that he had no place in the heart of Naksu :'( My 2 boats sank in this episode.

2023-12-03 18:55:56 +0000 UTCI’m watching this series for the first time as well so I’m not positive, but my guess is that Mu Deok likens love to poison because, for now anyways, she sees it creating opportunities for weakness. When emotions are involved, an enemy might be able to use that against Jang Uk or Mu Deok, manipulate it to his/her advantage. But I feel like she will come to realize that love is actually a strength, that it makes them stronger together. Have no idea, will have to see as the show progresses. In any case, I feel like Mu Deok and Jang Uk will end up together, so don’t jump ship from your MJ ship too soon!

2023-12-02 23:28:38 +0000 UTCMudeok isnt two timing she has feelings for jang uk and not yul. Its just they're not communicating their feelings properly which is leading to misunderstandings. The blonde guy made jang uk think mudeok likes yul and thats what jang uk started doubting everything and bc she didnt fully clarify that she has feelings for him, he continued to spiral in that thought that his feelings are one sided. If he had fully communicated why he was acting all bitter and annoyed then she would've perhaps been able to clear his misunderstanding and tell him that its him that she likes but he hasnt been doing that. Everything shes doing is for his sake but bc hes only thinking of it from the perspective of his own romantic feelings he isnt seeing that shes just trying to motivate him. She bet that jade stone bc she trusts he can win and she'll get it back whereas he thinks she bet it because it doesnt mean anything to her. Her character is very cold since she was an assassin hence she cant get her feelings across properly. I hope that explains the confusion :)

She got over yul ages ago but remember when she had to pretend she likes yul just to get close enough to understand his breathing pattern in one of the earlier episodes?? She doesnt deny it bc shes still pretending that she likes him and she doesnt know that yul knows shes naksu. Yul liked her first and she liked him back in the past so hes kind of tryna test the waters and see who she actually likes bc hes already had an inkling that mudeok likes jang uk but hes still unsure. Once he realises shes fully in love with jang uk he does take a step back even tho in the end hes left heart broken unfortunately. So the reason why people had second lead syndrome was bc he was so nice his intention was never to get in between but he ended up not getting the girl so its abit sad considering he did know her first yk?😂 i hope you can warm upto him abit more🤣
